Adam: in response to your earlier post about andrea... His mom DOES have alot of CE plastic in her closet, but it's *my* stash. I figured I'd put it there since nobody in her house knows how to throw a disc. Besides, I'm over there all the time anyway.

Andrea: the "trip" to Carrollton should cost you all of 5 bucks, even in your "gas guzzler" (HA! now that's funny - my truck gets 11.5 MPG on a GOOD day, his jeep can't get worse than 15 even with the v8). From McKinney to Carrollton should be all of 25 minutes, especially since you're going AGAINST traffic. It's not exactly far. I used to drive from Grapevine (where i work at one of those job things) to McKinney every wednesday for the mini, and I could get there in just over an hour. and thatis going WITH traffic. I know you've only been driving for a few weeks, so just to let you know: WITH traffic means bumper-to-bumper rush hour. AGAINST traffic means free-wheeling 60MPH+ the whole way.

I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to play this week... I have a case of poison ivy from Waco that is getting worse by the day. last night, D and I played 18 holes at the Colony and the rash was so sollen and painful when we got home that I could barely walk. I'm probably going to go to the doc today and see if he can hook me up with a shot or something to fix this... but as for tomorrow, I dunno. I might make it, I might not. If we're at Greenbelt, I'll at least be there for CFOs if I can't play. Which reminds me, be careful of the CFOs at Carrollton parks. I've already had one ticket for Alcohol in a public park (Porter)

yeah, they got me, Charlie C and Keith E... all of us for 1 beer can left out. we were the last 3 in the parking lot after a thurs. night dubs mini. we were on our way out, packing up to leave... when the cop shows up to let us know that the park is closing in 15 minutes. Then he sees the lone beer can (not even ours)... long story short, we all had to pay.

anyway, I've got a few poison ivy products now... and I'll be looking for some of that blocker jbitner keeps touting. I think mine has progressed beyond OTC lotions and pills... got an appt. for 12:30. good news is that even right now, as long as I have it tightly bandaged, it doesn't swell too much so I can prolly play on thurs. Hopefully the doc can fix me up a bit today too. I'm sitting out tonight, but hopefully tomorrow I'm in. For sure this weekend at LOSO :)

If we're doing draw dubs (with this many people, I'll bring a deck of cards) then we might have some interesting teams. If we have an even number of OMBs, I say we keep it divisional.

We're playing basket-basket, and we'll use minis to mark each teebox as we go. Normally, this wouldn't be necessary, but thos OMBs will cheat every chance they get. bring it biatches!

What is the point of playing the same course everytime you go out and play. Oops, I forgot that is what you normally do.

Moving the tee boxes on each hole means you have to actually think on every tee box about what to throw. Playing the same course means you are just trying to dial in the shot you already have planned.

One can lower your score on a specific course, the other can improve your game.

not sure about streaching the course,, I think it will shrik it alot but it should still be fun.

a couple of holes will shrink, but mostly it will stretch :) #18-#1... #16-#17... think about it :). Even if you could reach #17 before (BOOM), it's going to be longer and more difficult from #16's basket. #4-#5 becomes easier, as does #17-#18, but I can't think of too many more that get shorter or easier. Besides, it's a whole new course :) good times.

Some holes will be ace runs, but others will be nice just to score a 4 on.....SWEET...and we get to break Brian into the Smack also...

The vet is a great course, but I'm one of the few that could make it that far west by 7:00. Next week will be the Colony course, long pins. We'll also be starting an ace pot, $2 a head per event The only reason I even want to do that is b/c when someone does hit an ace I'd like to see them get paid for it. the ace pot will be mandatory. Entry fees are not something I'm 100% sure about, but we can at least issue money challenges. If y'all really want to start an entry fee, then I'll formalize it. nothing more than the standard $5 though. This is still about the SCHMACK and nothing else. oh, that and taking the OMBs down off their artifically high horses.

Just keep swinging for the fences.

OK, I'm back. Deidre and I took a vacation day yesterday to do some tourist-type stuff in San Antonio and surrounding areas. BTW, she carded her first Tournament win (except the 2 maceman events where she was he only woman playing) and it was a B-tier, no less! :D

Anyway, I'll congratulate her more on the LOSO thread, so here's the deal on the STD this week. We'll be playing at the Colony course, starting at 6:30 and playing long pads. I'll be out there tonight, but I cannot leave flags up b/c I fear the mowers. $2 ace pot, and $3 payout. More to come later.
