It will have been a month since I have last played come this weekend. Where the heck are we playing? I got to see if my pneumonia body can take playing golf yet! I tell you what, once I'm completely healthy from this stuff, I am getting a pneumonia shot. I am never getting that crap again!! was just watching channel 4 news. they reported a couple of people getting busted at bear creek for weed :eek: caught the tail end of it. sounded like they tried to hide their weed but their dog retrieved it and brought it to the officer :p the reporter was laughing his *** off.

My father called me last night to tell me he heard the same story about Bear Creek and the golfers that got busted. He heard about it on WBAP right at the beginning of the Mark Davis show. Someone started talking about "frisbee" golf and Mark Davis corrected them calling it disc golf. One or two of the announcers that were talking about the story mentioned that they had played the sport which included Mark Davis. Maybe the OMBs need another player and we could get Mark Davis to join them. :p :D

BTW, I'm sure that was Big Bald Dummy that I saw in the doctor's office, but his hospital gown was open and you could see crack and I fainted. :D Don't know 100% if that was him or not. :D

I knew as soon as I heard that all the baskets were back at Bear Creek, the idiots would not be far away. At least that means they won't be hanging out at the other courses anymore. The regular players at Vet were getting pretty tired of picking up all the trash behind them. :mad: Although it is not good publicity for our sport, I am glad those guys at Bear Creek got caught.
I would love to play a round with Mark Davis. While we often disagree, I believe he is a very intelligent man. I will never forget the debate we had several years ago, in which I won and he called me an eloquent speaker.

I thought this was interesting. In the mid week event at the Vet. on Wednesday, the ombs decided to make one big division in advanced. 3 out of 4 of the cashing spots were taken by OMBs! Way to go old guys. :D

Make that 3 out of the top 5. David Landis cashed as the only true advanced player. David crashed the chains on hole 5 long with an insane two finger Willy C. style anhyser flick. It didn't stay in, but was really cool to watch.

seems to me at the *last* STD (Z-Boaz) I was the one getting through the trees and the OMBs were hitting them quite regularly (See: Hole 18 both rounds). I ain't scared of no trees or no OMBs :D

no, not everyone was puting for birdie on 17... and with my partner already down there, I did decide to take the risky route (skirt the trees on the R and skip L off the hill to the hole). Oh yeah, I forgot you OMBs don't get the concepts of partner golf :) I seem to remember GaryW and Frank on hole 1 at Porter... "lay up" he says as the putt goes 30' past... then his partner follows. On the other hand, Hole 18 long, nobody else even got across the creek. Frank hit the closest tree possible! When your partner is safe, throw risky. When your partner is 10' in front of the pad, at least try and get the dang thing across the creek!

just because u can't see the line doesn't make it non-existant :) the line is there, it's a hyzer-skip off of the hill... hit it just right and it will go to the bucket. As far as i know (from what I was told by a z-boaz local last time i played a tourney there) it's the best ace line.

Thanks guys! I've had a very bad week..starting with my sister having a miscarriage and a mad trip to Austin to be with her and ending with David breaking his hand. Reading this thread has cheered me up.
