BTW, I think I found a better blinds system that might be more to your liking. I played in an officiated tournament and asked the TD what would be a good system for home games with no TD. He suggested using an egg timer and moving the blinds up every 30 minutes on a scale like:
1%/2%
2%/4%
3%/6%
4%/8%
5%/10%
6%/12%
7%/14%
so that even after 3 hours, big blind is only $1.40 on a $10 game. Double that for a $20 game. It's more in line with tournament play, and keeps things from getting too hairy once it's down to 3 players or fewer. Or we could just use the ante system :)

Back to golfing, I still need a partner. My buddy can't make it out this week. :( Maybe I'll just play "Frank-practice-shot" golf. :D:D

I have also printed out how the blind system works on most of the online sites. Getting into the game can cost you, but after that blinds don't raise continually like we played last time. I will still get you for making me go all in with crap cards. :DMaybe Todd will join us also. Anyone else is also welcome...just have to find some seats.

If its not a tourney the blinds should not raise. Most tourneys at the local clubs blinds double every 15 minutes.

While it's true that we would have no problem beating you OMBs at Poker, that's not the only reason we discuss it here. All of the potential players in the poker game are Disc Golfers. Disc Golfers who are capable of more than one form or recreation, and choose to diversify at times. heh, maybe... but to my partner's credit, he had to carry me on at least 11 of the 18 holes, as I had never thrown any of those discs before... ever. I was fortunately able to help him out by putting the unfamiliar plastic close to the pin on upshots and putts so that he could have a run. I even hit a few of them myself. What's funny is that I think I really like the Z-Wildcat I was throwing. I still don't have it figured out, but I'll definitely be adding it to my BAG :D

Stick with that Wildcat for a bit...I think you will learn to like it...much faster than a ROC, but also a very straight shooting disc. That is what I hit #13 at GB with (though it jumped out)...

Jimmy Porter is getting some tee pads this week.

Holes 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 are done already. Holes 5 and 11 will be done tomorrow.

Next week they will be installing about 7 at Greenbelt.

These tee pad are 6 by 16 and are just 2 foot shorter than those at Lake Lewisville. They are plenty big. </font>

If you think that any Dallas county course (minus Auquabahn) can compare to the Vet, ZBoaz, or Crowley you really are nuts :confused:. The Vet has all of the pins in the long position right now so that may give you self proclaimed "big arms" an advantage, but then Danny and I have the home course advantage :D.

double Ds with a winning record? I suppose... but it's not by a big margin. You guys have won at GB and Audobon, but have you won anywhere else? You've been beat at the Lake and at Porter... so, it's only something like 3-2 or 4-2 at worst. :DIf someone got really bored, we might be able to go back over this thread and see that YGBs have won more times than OMBs. :eek: of course, the OMBs always have some excuse (pinky's fence or dukie's pager...) :D Overall, if you just look at OMB vs YGB in all the STDs... the YGBs have it :)

yeah, I've dyed quite a few discs before :) probably about 100... didn't really keep count. lots of the lewisville folks still have one or two of my dyes. Of course, I was dying them back before everyone and their dog started dying... now a simple little spin-dye doesn't cut it any more :)
