i am not sure when the pads will be poured. i know stew was going to call them when they finished the framing which that is done so i would say anytime this week or weekend.

Stew talked to the people today at Recreation and Parks..they are having their guy talk to the concrete folks to set a date..hoping to have it done before Ice Bowl..as soon as I know the exact date I will spread the word..

a few years back I was really not any good. And I had this big bead avair that I loved - and it was white.

I just randomly decided to make my bag all one color, and since I loved that avair, I bought all white discs.

I had a CE Leopard that was blue and when I lost it, it was all white for me

that was a touching story there rob. but thanks for letting me in to the secreat.

Tuesday, January 25, 2005..workday at the Meadow..pouring the concrete for the tees that have been framed..we need some people most of the day..the start time has not been set yet but I will post when it is but it looks like it is gong to be early...I am hoping that we can have people come and go most of the day so no one person gets stuck working all day...this date might change if the weather is not warm enough for the cement mix..we need it to be in the mid 40s...we will check with parks and rec that Monday to confirm.... as for now be prepared to work on Monday..we are really counting on you folks so please don't let us down..anymore info will be posted or emailed and yes I will be calling to talk about this.

Havent been able to golf too much..school had a bunch of stuff do this week..found out about doubles here on Tues,Wed, Sat and Sun so I will try and play some of those..been a little cold here..high 60s LOL...lost an Orc in a lake..me and Orcs and water do not mix...

is this planned on being a PDGA sanctioned tourney? if so, i believe it has to be 400+ miles away from raleigh in order for it to be held on the same weekend according to PDGA Tour Standards (http://www.pdga.com/documents/td/05TourStandards.pdf). i know as of now there are no NC tournies the weekend before and at least the next 2 weekends after the crosstown. i was looking forward to playing this tournament as i have not as of yet had the privilidge of doing so. any course angry clown and MtL claim as "worst ever" just make me want to play it that much more. obviously, if it remains on this same date, that will not be happening.

yo jeff, i talked to james nichols, the td and the main guy around here, and he was the one to tell me that it was going to be held on the crosstown weekend. he made it sound like it was going to be sanctioned...it was a b-tier last year. maybe they will end up changing the dates?
the course is nice and tight, with much elevation, and with some "questionable" holes. they are planning on adding six more before the tourney.

the last page of the tour standards, on table 3, has an astrix, which states that there is no conflict for events held within that radius if both tds agree to sanction for the same weekend.

yes, i saw that asterisk and i am sure kirk would agree on that. i guess i don't understand why it would be scheduled the same weekend when we should be trying to have as much of NC as possible supporting our NT event, and there are open dates on both sides of that weekend. oh well, maybe the asheville TD has a scheduling conflict. sux

i don't really understand, he was upset that this event was being held on this particular weekend, because the pro field would be empty. maybe he gave me wrong dates, but i agree, the nt event is a priority, and if the schedule changes, i'l be at both.

EOG and I were talking about playin the BG Open. Unfortunantly it is on the same weekend as the Azalea tourney. Tough choice, but with worlds so far away, the BG could be a good choice. Played Buckhorn last weekend for the 1st. Little intimidating. Might skip the open there. Played Chapel Hill as well. Aced #11, then left my BEST driver, the fryed firebird, orange, go tigers, on one of my last holes, and didn't realize it until Kaplan.

As for the Meadow, we tore up our nice pads, when are we going to fix the pads that really need it. Are we going to change anything before we set it in stone(literally). I can help Tuesday afternoon. Oh yeah, can't we just frame up some of the pads that won't ever be mowed over. 8,9,10,12. Just brainstormin. Might play ECU if my hands don't freeze.

no im going to florida for the cross canyon, then i will be playing buckhorn. coastal plains falls after i get back from florida. that means after 5 days of being away from Shelley, i will not want to go away for the weekend, yes she could go with me to coastal plains but thats not good quality time for her. so in short no coastal plains for the otime :D

Too bad...have fun in Brooksville; I wish I could play there this year...say howdy to Shelley for me and congrats to her for her DG triumphs! :D BTW, I'll be goin' to a GREAT place after this life ;) See ya on the course!

As for the Meadow, we tore up our nice pads, when are we going to fix the pads that really need it. Are we going to change anything before we set it in stone(literally). I can help Tuesday afternoon. Oh yeah, can't we just frame up some of the pads that won't ever be mowed over. 8,9,10,12. Just brainstormin. Might play ECU if my hands don't freeze.



There were 2 workdays in a row to prepare the pads for the cement so I dont call that tearing them up..pads that really need it??? last I checked all of them will be cemented except 9...and eventually all of the pads will get framed so that we can pour cement..we are just working on the course in 2 parts, the front area (sheleter to other parking lot) and then the back area softball fields and woods)..thanks for volunteering to help with the work on Tuesday...

Thanks BW..just make sure they are just still in decent shape..the day before I am sure we will do a final check before the pouring....appreciate the thought and effort
