Some quick news...

The December monthly is set for Saturday December 10, normal format, tee at 10 am, bring some friends...

We still have some InnColor disc we need to sell so if you have not gotten one do yourself and the club a favor and get one, they make great Christmas gifts...

The Ice Bowl will be some time in either late January or early February, format will be the same as last year, more details will be announced as soon as they are decided, lets try and repeat our great effort from last year and make it even better, remember this is a charity event...

X is usually a derivitive of some function (f) and corresponds either one to one (1:1) or a one to many (1:m) relationship..to find out what x is you need to see what algorithm you were using (IDEA, 3DES, RSA etc..) to get the hash value and the MDA (message digest) count..then again this gets into bit count and parity and checksums and I have read too much about that this week to care..other than that I have no idea wtf you are asking worm...

Actually Millsie,,,we could look at scores on a spread vector with each hole being assigned a name (the hole number) and each golfers score being a variable (a,b,c,,etc)..through this we could find the probabilty of a given score on each hole or we could also find the high and low score..or the mean hole score....but these are not the things I work with...I am more interested in how the data (disc) gets to the target (hole)...and who else thinks Angelina Jolie is hot in The Smiths???

if club memberships start over at the new year i think we should make some new ones for club members only....get a whole bunch of them done so we will always have ones for new members later on in the year and for years to come....that way we can always have them around for when people want to get one.....or need to replace one that is lost.....just an idea for when the next time club memberships renew

Nice idea Millsie..club memberships run from July to June, not the calendar year but I thin looking into them now would be a good idea..I will talk to Stew since he is our money man..also if it is a club thing there can be some more defined idea of the challenges and tournament setup (last round, all, etc)..maybe you or MUS would be willing to be the tag person for the club since you are both members...also I will be working on our web site after the holidays so that is one place where tag information can be placed...keep the good ideas coming..

HAHA, I still have the legs on my computer desk, pretty funny stuff. Jeb is definitely out of bag tags, he ran out at the beginning of the summer. New bag tags would be awesome, good thinking millsie! I just want to add that I shot +8 on the front 9 at Englewood yesterday morning. Fred and I bet on the front 9 and ack 9 there and at Zebulon, plus dollar for overall. He had me by 10 going into the back 9 @ Englewood, I ended up only loosing by one in the overall. The main point is I had my first real blow up, and it felt good to know that I can screw up as bad as anybody. That solidifies my status as an advance golfer! That is all.

Yes..see previous postings...Monthly Dec 10...longs then shorts..usual layout...I am not having a Christmas party this year..the last 3 have been out of my pocket and those pockets are not that deep this year...I might talk to Pygmy and see if he wants to and if not then someone else can do it..GVDG as a club has its money tied up right now and can not do it this year but we plan to next year or we have even talked about having a party to start off the doubles season..also the awards for this years doubles will be given out at the start of the '06 doubles...that is all ornow..a club email will be going out soon..

Place: West Meadowbrook Park
Format: First round - White tee pads, mulligans can be bought for $1 a piece (limit 5 per hole), all this money goes to the charity
Second round - Seeded doubles, white tees, we will take the highest and lowest score and pair them together and work down from there.
Prizes: There will be CTP's, ace pool for second round only and other various items, since this is for charity everyone will get a disc and a mini with there entry instead of doing a payout.
Entry fee: $10 and 2 canned food items(if this changes we will announce it)

We did a great job last year raising food and money in our first ever Ice Bowl. Lets beat that amount and really show people what GVDG can do. You are encouraged to raise money to donate. Some examples would be challenge a friend to a side bet, get people to sponsor you or any other way.
If you would like to order Ice Bowl merchandise, just let a club officer know and we can see what we can do. Also those with some cooking ability might want to bring some warm food to eat and maybe that too would be a way to raise some money also. This will be a fun event for a good cause.
Any questions can be directed here. Remember the motto for the Ice Bowl is "No wimps, no whiners" so you have no excuse for not coming. See you all there and bring a friend.

Ah results. As I predicted it was a divot sweep. It was a battle too guys, you should have seen it. We played a 6 man group, because that was all that we had show up. After the first round Jeb and Fred were tied for first, then me, AJ, Rob, and fake Mus doesn't count because he didn't pay to play. The first round was a fun one, including an incredible one footed swan putt by Mus on hole 10's water hazzard (f' in hilarious, he made 4 dollars for making the putt)! By the end of the second round Da Wop had pulled out the win, even with a bogey on the last hole. A good time, a good day. Didn't make Rocky Mount though, Christmas party Saturday night kinda hindered me. Anyways, see ya'll @ Da Moe's!!!

I would have to nominate as one of my favorites the arguing Jeb and Wop did back and forth..the irony of this is they live together but instead they chose to let us in on it..kind of a Truman Show like thing..it was quite funny...

SO hes a goatboy shemale midget with big ears and hairy knuckles and stays erect that works the streets at night...yep this has to be the strangest hooker I have ever heard of...
