TThe Pro got a scare today in bag tag challenging. Dougy P. had me on the ropes. He had me by 4 strokes with 6 holes to play. I birdied 5 of the last 6 holes to hold onto the coveted # 1 GVDG bag tag.

On a side note... Fred and I tied the doubles course record from the shorts today with a -16. We missed holes 1 and 5.

the tourny is 35 or 45 for an int or adv thats killer for an A tier! I will ask be asking 25 each for gas and 20 for the room so total so for both div you are looking @ just under 100 dollars for the total package. if any one is interested give me a call. (919) 427- 6932

By next Monday I will be contacting the PDGA to start our tournament sanctioning process. Please be a part of this and give me input. Also remember this is something that is important and this will be a public reflection of our club in both the disc golf world and the non-disc golf world. And remember, use good taste and common sense in suggesting a name/theme. In other words, nothing that has to do with, relate to or can be misconstrewed with any activities that would place the club, course or Greenville Recreation and Parks in a bad light. If you dont speak up now about a name, please do not speak up months from now with complaints about the name.

I'm bettin that the local Pool Hall Emerald City will be more than happy to give us lots(or at least some) money for our tourney. The copyright issues are serious, but those pics were just suggestions. We would have to do our own artwork. And I will definitly see Welldone today at the meadow.

Any news on who is winning the GVDG bracket contest. I think Scotty might have effed up with the Zags, but could have hit it big with West Virginia. I'm pullin for UW Milwaukee, Go Panthers. Those guys rock.

Scotty, Adrock and I were headed to Ohio from the Emerald City. We left in da middle o' da night; Adrock drove first and I took a nice snooze. He woke me when we got to I think I-87(?) or whatever road goes north around G-boro. We were in the middle of dark nowhere and I said, "Man, show me where to go."
He said (in classic Adrock style), "Dude, just get in this lane and stay in it, and go north", and was out like last week.
So this road stayed newmoon dark with ZERO road signs, until we got to a pretty little sign that said we were rarin' up on KNOXVILLE.
I woke Adrock (no easy task) and said, "Eh man, there was a sign back yonder that said Knoxville. I don't think were goin' the right way. I stayed in this lane!"
Adrock said something I think had 4 letters in it, a few times, then said, " Pull the (4 letters) over, I'm (4 letters with an ing ending) driving!", and we grabbed [*****] and hauled it.
We'll we got a nice ride thru Kentucky to get to Canton from NC. But if Adrock is at the wheel, you will get to the tourney.
Nice story, but not recommended. Can anyone say,"Two minutes!"

Ah, memories of traveling with Ad Rock. Good times, good times.

I remember we were going to Kentwood for a tourney. His woman was driving I was in the back, and the two of us had no clue where we were going. So Ad Rock naturally tells us to go straight, and takes a nap. We of course drive completely through Raleigh before we were able to wake him up to get directions. We barely made it there on time because Ad Rock really didn't know how to get to the course.

He went to play Paw Paw one year, overslept 'till like 3AM or something and still made it on time. FLYIN'!!
We went to play the Fla.Triple Crown leg in Clearwater one year, slept in the Maxima, and woke up with about 5-10 min. left to get to the other course. We jiggity jetted, got almost there and Adrock realized that he had left one shoe behind! :D We still laugh hard about that one.
Did he tell you what he got for 3rd in Adv from a Tennessee tourney? Scotty would appreciate that one.

why didnt you put it up for the last round of the mando madness tourney.....we always do tags on the last round of our tourneys......just wondering

2 reasons...One I just wanted a fun round and I stated at the beginning I was not doing tags..two is I was at the course everyday it did not rain and did both challenges and work, and the thing is people are all about doing tags but they dont really want to do any extra work on the course...I know not everyone has free time but it gets frustrating seeing golfers having plenty of time to throw but when you mention work they say they have no time..this does not go for everyone but I have seen a lot of it..so thats my reasons and all total I put the tag up against 11 people when I was home for that short time and still worked...you know 95% of the time I will accept any challenge but sometimes you just want to play for fun and that was the first time in any monthly I did not put whatever tag I had up..so when I come back come on out /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

As for the tag, since I am so tired of people all about tags and not working on the course heres what I will do...give me your address and I will mail the thing you...that way you can have it and I can concentrate on working on the course when I am there..

When he's here you can have a shot, but more than likely, he will keep his #2 tag, cause he's better than you. So there. #3 tag is the best you can get unless you can beat Scotty, when he's here.
