It was a great game to watch..a very young 'eer team with a lot of potential..to go into Atlanta and beat Georgia..wow..Mrs Scotty was very happy and yelled cheers from the deck after the game.. not sure if biggest ever from program (not a sure since they had some great years under Nealon) but is for sure is one of their best...I just hope for her that White and Slaton stay for all 4 years...good game, good food and good drink made for a good night...and yes the future is wide open...

Rob man....the joke didn't bother me at all. I got no problems with any of you guys. I look up to a lot of you and have enjoyed getting to know the guys down east. I must admit that when I first played a round with you, I said to myself that has got to be the cockiest guy I have ever met. He thinks his crap don't stink. But after getting to know you for (MTL) I just appreciate you for who you are and what you are about. All of us have our ways and we may poke at each others imperfections but we are all bros when it comes down to it. That is what I like about our whole disc golf community. I have hung out with all kinds but I think that our crowd sticks together and accepts whoever wants to be a part of the deal be it disc golf or brotherhood. Between you and Eddie the first one to send there money in has the seat in the focus. The Navajo is now a Notta go! I think the clutch fell out. So I have to take the focus wich is much smaller. that means I have only one seat.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes fellas, it means alot to me that I have good friends who wish me well. It was a great birthday in fact. I ended up making my 11th final table at the poker tourney. Alot of my friends came up to the bar to hang out, which was really cool. But no matter what I did I could not get out of the tourney early to hang out with them. I went ALL-IN like 10 times and kept winning. Once I went in with 2 3 or spades, trying to lose so I could go play pool. I flopped a flush and quadrupled up. What the hell. Anyways, thanks again guys. We shall see you in K town. Oh yeah, thinking about a round in New Bern this afternoon. I am going home to have dinner with the family and celebrate my birthday. For those who went to Kinston you know how much fun it was...those guys did a great job...the $5 round before was nice and the Ice Bowl round was fun also...good CTP's and the ring of fire had a ton of prizes (Max has free buffet for 2 so who wants to be his new friend)...this was a fun event and those from G-ville had a blast..also nice shooting in the cash round to Jeb with his 55 and Dave G. with his 59...congrads to the winner and 2nd place in the Ice Bowl (who I feel bad for not remembering their names)..they shot a nice 56 and 57...it was a great day :cool:

Just a reminder that our Ice Bowl is Saturday, January 28, tee time is 10 am and the entry is $10 and 2 cans of food. The first 30 entries will get a full color roc and a mini. The format will be mulligans from the shorts for the first round and seeded doubles from the whites the second round. There will be CTPs and an ace pool for the second round only. Any cash or food donations are welcomed. The money and food will go to the same fund last year. The food will go to the Pitt County Social Services food pantry and the money will help a Pitt county senior get a scholarship. We raised $262 and 112 pounds of food last year and we should top that mark this year. I encourage all to come out and play or watch this years event.

I will personally gaurantee that you will surpass the food pounds that you had last year! As a new club member, I want to add to what GVDG is and what it will be.... ;)

OK this has been a nice way to start the new year..I aced hole 10 shorts finally (little practice off the pad and a full bag of disc :cool:) with a firebird tomahawk..then today I got 11 from the whites (short) with a coyote...JonVee is starting to hate seeing them lol

i wish i had that kind of time to go out and play everyday.....must be nice

Oh it has been for the last week since all winter and most of fall I didn't have the time..but don't worry I do work during the day so I can play in the afternoon :cool:

GREAT SUPPORT today folks at the Ice Bowl..36 players...$400 raised...273 pounds 12 ounces of food...203 of that was brought by Joe Noble...3 aces (Pygmy, Shelby and me)...doubles best score was Bert and Shea...Christian won womens...Biggs (The_Truth) got Intermediate...JonVee got advanced...I held off SchweBB for my first Ice Bowl win ever (5 Ice Bowls with 4 2nd places lol)...most money in mulligans I believe was $35 by Pygmy...the most by a group was $85 (JonVee, PJ, Okie and Daniel B)...much fun was had..this was a great day and a super event...

Thanks for a great time folks...this was a sweet way for me to leave before heading to Florida for a while...can't wait for March Mando Madness...I think 19 is starting to become one of my favorite numbers... :)

Jumped on the band wagon this morning with an ace on 11. What is that like three in a week for that hole? And had an aviar lip out on 15, up the gut. I think aces come easier in the AM. See everyone this week.

how long are you in Sarasota for? there are 2 GREAT courses there. the sky pilots are the bomb. i will be there in May for the Sarasota Am Champ. that is a great event.

played that tourney a few years back and yeah. North Watertower was cool. The fly 18 was LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG :D

Thank god they do not play that course for the am champ. did you get to play Lake view? that course is one of the most beatiful courses i have ever seen and 18 is by far one of the hottest signature holes i have ever played

Mrs Scotty and I are here till at least the end of April...I have played N Water Tower before and I just played Lakeview today..fun course with a lot of water hazards..you have to make sure you know the landing areas on some holes so you dont go long and get wet (like I did on #8)...the 3 holes out on the pennisula on the lake are nice..good view of wildlife...FYI the Fly course has been pulled from Sarasota but there is a new Fly course up in Tampa..not sure Im going to pay it to play it though...I would rather go to Clearwater...

And yes the SkyPilots I have met in the past have always been super nice and very friendly...I am hoping to look up a few of them I have met before so I can play with them and find out about local events...

me and Eddie went down there as adv golfers and we played 2 rodns at NWT and 1 a thte fly 18. The intermediates played Lakeview. We played the front 9 as warm up - if 18 was awesome, I hate I missed it!

All I remember was the stupid hole where you threw beside or over a fence - something like that.

Thats hole 10...short 231 birdie...12-18 all have water on them to deal with..a lot of other holes do to but starting at 15 the lake comes into play rather than a canal..and if the fence bothered you on your throw then you have one wild release because it shouldn't bother you :cool:
Overall its a fun course, low ceiling, multiple routes on many holes, various lenghts of holes (putter to drivers) and some fun shots...

Hole 18 is about 265 and is a slight righty turnover...you have to shoot over an inlet of water (about 200 off the tee) to carry to the green...there are trees left that block a huge turn so a control turn is better..if you go long, hyzer long or shank right chances are you will be wet...my Coyote stayed dry but was far left and missed the 45 foot putt...

Scotty you are in paradise my freind if you have time to play golf. Panelese county (did i spell that right?) just south has like 8 courses and i know it had to be 70 today. you suck faison JJ. and yeah lake view can eat some discs. water comes into play 13 out of 18. have fun down there. i will be down there second week of may (girlfriends parents live there oh yeah) can't wait.

scotty why dont you and the wife drive up to brooksville for the cross canyon?? might be the last year to play this course!!!!!!!! Eddie, GaryG his wife, and Shelley and I will be there.
Oh and I think some guy from tarborro, tarbrrro..... whatever will be there as well.

I will not be in aTTendance this year.

As tempting as it sounds, I can't come up there the weekend of the pro leg...I had planned to but theres a little racing event called the Daytona 500 that we have tickets to that Mrs Scotty, me and her brother and his wife are going to...Chris and Sandy are coming in from Kansas for a week to hang out and go to the race...as much as I love disc golf I can't pass up my 3rd Daytona :cool:
