PDGA Europe (Headquartered in Helsinki, Finland), established 2006 (Finnish Patent And Registration Office Registered 22-Aug-2019 with ID 3000913-7), is the Europe Continent Segment of PDGA. Thirty Europe Continent Countries have secured PDGA Affiliate Country Status.
With the release of the 2022 Majors & Elite schedule, the PDGA is now accepting requests for 2022 North American A-Tiers via the A-Tier Request Form online. The submission deadline is Monday, October 18, 2021.
When planning for A-Tier dates, please remember not to use dates that would be in mileage conflict with an event already on the provided Major & Elite Schedule. An A-Tier may not be within 1,250 miles of a Major, or 750 miles of an Elite Series event.
As announced at the end of September, the PDGA National Tour and DGPT Elite Series have been merged into a single cohesive tour - The Disc Golf Pro Tour: “The Official Pro Tour of the PDGA.” Many fans have been left wondering what to expect going into the next year. Plans to bring the Disc Golf Pro Tour overseas to Europe for the PCS Sula Open, a PDGA Euro Tour event, in 2021 have been postponed due to travel restrictions amid the unpredictable COVID-19 situation currently in Europe.
Since the inaugural PDGA Europe Board of Directors elections were held four years ago, PDGA Europe has been going through the process of formation as our association’s legal and largely self-governing continental body for Europe.
In recent months, registration as a not-for-profit in Finland has been completed and our first permanent staff persons have been hired and trained. Now it is time to move PDGA Europe forward by envisioning, building and managing activities that have the overriding aim of growing disc golf into the future in concert with our individual members, sanctioned events, and national association partners across Europe.

Following the postponement of the 2020 PDGA Women's Global Event (WGE) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the PDGA WGE is set to return for its first-ever odd-year iteration on May 8-9, 2021.
A biennial tournament, the PDGA Women's Global Event finds women going head-to-head with players at their local courses and also against women worldwide on a global leaderboard to determine who wins the weekend. Find your local PDGA WGE »

It’s always been about growth and building, both professionally and in disc golf, for Kalle Vainikka.
After working in the construction industry and jumping into disc golf full steam, Vainikka will combine those passions as the new PDGA Europe Administrator, an opportunity he sees to help further push the rapid growth of disc golf in Europe.
Following a year in which the COVID-19 pandemic forced the postponement or cancellation of many elite disc golf events throughout the world, 2021 promises to be a season of revival.
This will be nowhere truer than on the 2021 PDGA Euro Tour, which kicks-off April 30 with the Kokkedal Open in Denmark.
Today the Euro Tour is announcing a new partnership with Natural Born Disc Golfer Media (NBDG) to cover all rounds of the 2021 Tour with next-day shot-by-shot coverage of the MPO feature/lead card, which will be released on NBDG’s YouTube channel and free to watch for all viewers.

Gregg Barsby found himself looking over the vast fjords on the western coast of Norway, a beautiful disc golf course and a disc golf hungry community behind him.
A destination and experience that is second to none.
“You take a second to look around and realize where you are in the world and what you’re doing,” Barsby said. “At Sula, the water is right there, the mountains, the cliffs – everything. On a clear day when the water is calm, it’s a mirror effect.
“You just have to see it for yourself.”
In 2021, the entire world will get to see what Norway and European disc golf has to offer.
The PDGA is implementing a Reasonable Modification Request Policy. The policy allows players with disabilities to apply for rules exemptions where such exemptions may allow them to participate in PDGA-sanctioned events where they otherwise could not. Rules exemptions will be provided on an annual basis requiring re-submittal each year, and will not be provided for injuries that are temporary in nature, such as a recoverable injury.

With six events spanning from April to July, the 2020 Euro Tour is set to put the height of European disc golf on display. From venerable, long-established events in Scandinavia to up-and-coming tournaments in the Baltics – and plenty in between – it’s set to be a wild ride that will feature several hotbeds of the sport.

Yrjö “George the Volunteer” Munukka of Espoo, Finland, has been hired as full-time Administrator, while Matej Verl from Prague, Czech Republic, is our new Tour Manager.

During PDGA Europe's latest Board of Directors teleconference, held October 24th, 2017, the current PDGA Europe Board members voted for its officer positions. Each Board of Directors has its President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer to define roles and responsibilities within the governance structure, and in communicating with the outside world.
The Professional Disc Golf Association announces that Hans Nagtegaal has resigned from the PDGA Global Board of Directors due to professional reasons effective August 1, 2017. As the current Interim PDGA Europe Administrator, Hans will focus his efforts on establishing PDGA Europe operations as well as transitioning the newly elected PDGA Europe Board of Directors into their roles beginning September 1, 2017. The PDGA is currently exploring options for filling the position left vacant due to this resignation.
This is a historic occasion for disc golf and for the PDGA in Europe! As detailed in the PDGA Europe Transition Concept Paper section of the International Program Guide, over the past year the PDGA has begun the process of transitioning PDGA Europe from a Committee to our organization’s formalized and largely self-governing continental body for Europe.
