Directors Poll

Directors Poll

Before Pro Worlds, Gregg Barsby had slipped off our Directors Poll. That's changed in a big way. Photo: Alyssa Van Lanen

The first Directors Poll since Pro Worlds was kind to the veteran competitors who showed out in Vermont. But it also tilted in favor of the pedigreed champions who dominated the following week at the Delaware Disc Golf Challenge.

As the professional touring circuit rounds into the season's home stretch, the tournament directors and state coordinators who voted in this week's poll -- whether they intended to or not -- let player ratings drive their rankings.

One round of 18-under par, or two rounds of 16-down?

That seemed to be the question heading into the most recent Directors Poll, as Paul McBeth was coming off his historic performance at the Great Lakes Open and Eagle McMahon made some personal history by winning his first career PDGA Major at the Konopiště Open

When all was said and done at the Santa Cruz Masters Cup, the two reigning PDGA World Champions did what they do. And in so doing, they locked down their spots at the top of this week's Directors Poll.

Ricky Wysocki holds onto number one in the Open division for a second straight poll, while Paige Pierce remains in the same spot she started the season. It's the rest of the results, though, that saw the most upheaval.

A one-shot win at the Dynamic Discs Glass Blown Open was enough to move Eagle McMahon one slot in this week’s Directors Poll, but it wasn’t enough to earn him the number one spot.
