As a TD, what are the mandatory requirements for the WGE?

  1. PDGA Tour Standard compliance
    1. You must comply with all the current PDGA Tour Standards
  2. DiscGolfScene
    1. All registered WGE events must use for their online player registration pages. This allows WGE staff to streamline our communication to both the players and tournaments director
  3. Divisions offered:
    1. You must offer all 23 female divisions, even if there is only one player in a division.  The female participants are competing against women around the globe via round rating so they are not actually playing alone.
  4. PDGA Event Sanctioning
    1. All WGE tournaments must be officially sanctioned by the PDGA. To sanction your tournament please visit and submit a sanctioning agreement. Please be sure to specify in the Event Notes that you would like your tournament to be included in the Women's Global Event
  5. Naming convention:
    1. If you are sanctioning a standalone WGE tournament please name your event as “WGE - XX” where XX is the name of your event.  (For example “WGE – Springfield Disc Gals”).  This will allow the WGE event staff to identify that you are holding a female-only event and we will color code the event in pink.
    2. If you are sanctioning a tournament with male and female participants and will be including the female divisions in the overall WGE please name your event “XX + WGE”. (For example, “Springfield Disc Golf Challenge + WGE”).
  6. Course layout
    1. In order to accurately calculate round ratings for the female participants, all female players in all divisions (except Juniors under 12) must play 2 rounds of exactly the same layout.  If there are male players in the event, ideally the male players will play the exact same layout as the females.  However, if this is not the case, the different layouts must be noted in Tournament Manager and there must be a minimum of 3 ratings propagators for the female division layouts.
    2. For Juniors under 12 only the first round is counted toward the WGE.  There may be a separate course layout for Juniors, however there must be a minimum of 3 ratings propagators for that layout.
