Was that funny At-duff?? You just worry about staying off DFL.. :D
Don't get bent there young-un. What I was laughing at was how many times people ask Gary questions about the bonus this and bonus that.
Although, now that I think about it, the part about you playing Pro was pretty dam funny. :)
There was a post by Chris, not sure where, but he said that this year as apposed to last year- points would count even if you played diff. divisons. I also think that it talks abut that on Tx.10 webst. under "bonus"

Aren't you gonna field this one Baldguy ?
Here is the breakdown again, and I will have to find time to get it on the web page soon or it is gonna drive me crazy.
Does anyone remember Duke's Dinkers from last year?
This was a prize I sponsored for those memorable, but less than desirable things that happen on the golf course. I guess it didn't get rave reviews. This year I am sponsoring a the first $500 of the bonus points program instead of the Duke's Dinkers.
The Bonus Points have nothing to do with the Bonus Money
G-dub, young Mr. Bling has a permanent spot on my list. I just haven't been able to move him over to the "Been there, done that" column yet.
If I were you' I'd be focusing on which side of that ledger you're about to find yourself on. :)

How 'bout this, since you like to call me madame too. I'll give you 5 strokes on the Beast, even if you have a short tee on #6. Apparently Gary and Mark are running doubles at the Gold Beast Friday night? Sounds good to me guys, have fun. Please post all the doubles info so I can pass the buck a million times before then :D
If you are all worried about what holes will have short tee's maybe you should keep practicing so you can play Advanced or Pro /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Basically my decisions for which holes will go short will depend on the field size, weather, and condition on the course. I will let you know all that next week but here is a sample of what will happen. By the way I won't accept begging to change divisions to play the long tees. If you think you can play up then play up all the time!
Women: Pro and Adv play all the long tees on courses. Rec Women play all the short tees including Hole 6 at the Beast.
Pro and Advanced (inc OMB): play long tees on all holes on both courses.
Rec Men: Will likely play short tees on both courses except for Hole 6 at the Beast. A 200 foot shot over the pond is easy right? Since none of you tough guys know what it's like to bail out short instead on emptying your bag into the pond I will decide later how many times to re-tee.
Int Men: Long tees on Cameron West. I am undecided on which tees to play on the Beast. Last year we had 2 VERY SLOW Int mens groups that slowed the entire field down. I warned them twice I would make them play shorts if they didn't hurry and it must have gone in one ear and out the other. You know who you are. If I say hurry up in a round there is a reason. Depending on the reasons above I will make a decision later.
I have been shipping Marathon orders all day and will be tomorrow as well. I hope to work on Waco on Wednesday.
Thanks and back to the Am smack report :D

I find it both ironic and funny that all this "wrasslin'" talk started on Chris' thread. He's always made fun of my fascination with the "male soap opera" and I didn't even start this, Adam did. Too funny. (Chris hates "wrasslin" by the way.)

As stated in a post "pansy dancing" takeover of my thread here is the deal on hotels in Waco.
WE ALL STAY AT JOEY'S :D
Sorry couldn't resist.
Due to many reasons including George Bush always being in the Waco area, lots of cheap hotels and the college in town it's almost impossible to book a group rate. The best method is to go to your favourite online site and find a room. No one has ever had a problem doing that and getting a room under $45. Group rates have always been much higher.
We are also finding it hard to get a food deal for lunch. There are so many close places to eat from the courses I may just allow everyone the choice of going walkabout at lunch and relax off the course. I will let you know more soon.
HQ again will be at Cameron East near Hole 5's tee box.
Players Meeting is at 8:30am sharp.
Do any of you tights wearing pansy dancing watchers want to know what hole you start on? I am sure Hole 16 is available :D
Time to go for the day. I have been working on lots of things lately not only the Marathon. In the coming weeks I will have lots of fun stuff to tell everyone. Here's some hints.

In answer to your question Susan, do as Josh suggested and try Motel 6, but soon. Like Chris said, hotels in Waco fill fast.
We do not have to throw over water. We do, however, have to throw very close to it. The hole after the pond has a small fairway with water on both sides. That is my disc eating hole.

update for G watts :o
Mr. Woody, it appears that the Wreck Division will be playing short tees on multiple holes on the Beast and as stated earlier by Mr. Thunder, #6 won't be one of them.
This throws out our deal for +5 strokes with a short tee on #6.
I'm trying to come up with something that's still fair to you without just handing you several strokes. I tried to look up your rating, but it seems you're not a PDGA member and don't have one.
Any suggestions?
If Chris can tell me how many strokes he thinks the shorts should account for in your division on average, maybe I'd be willing to go straight up.

I suggest you play advanced if you want a gaurantee :D People just love to start rumors about this and that. Remember if you don't hear it from me it's likely crap.

You ain't got nothing. The curse of Poole has been lifted and you have been replaced by a more worthy nemesis!
Now get your arse to Waco and take your whooping like a man. :)

Well DJ won't be at this one...anyone have a mini basket that is staying at the 6?
DJ? Is that David Jones or someone else? I have a mini basket that I'll try to remember to stick in the van.
oh...No..that is Daryl Johnson from OKC..he brought one down to Wichita Falls and we played all around the entire hotel. Terrill somehow lost 2 mini's in the madness
What, Reddman? I didn't say it was by a lot. I just said you were on the list, that's all. :)

Player list is updated.
68 players(not the 69 Chris promised) - I was already on the page and on the list from Chris.
Actually, there should be 69 on the list. David Jones is not on the list of Int. Men. I'm on there and we signed up at the same time. Can you please fix this? Thanks

If I were you I wouldn't brag about beating me in a tournament round Marky........If you want to go a beer a hole, just like skins where every hole carries(not at either local course) and you drink before you tee off on the next hole, then you have something to brag about :D Ask the last person who tried it(it was an OKIE who should beat me ANYTIME)......he quit on hole 9 after having to drink 5 TX beers on the tee pad ;)
Yeah, but I'm no Okie. I drink as much Texas beer as you AND I can kick your [*****] on the course. What's your point? :)
Anytime, that sounds like a fun challenge I can really get behind. :)
BTW, I'm drinking one right now. Cheers! :D

It will probably be raining there too. So the tough choice is play disc golf in Corpus or go to Selenas memorial...hmmmmmm /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I don't make the list, I only process it.
You have a problem with presentation call me, if it's content call Chris.
Except for not showing up in the results properly, that is something I need to know and correct. Especially not having all of your results showing up under your player stats.
Sorry Mr. Duke. Didn't mean to open that can of worms. Just curious to know what had happened! We appreciate what you do.
Chris,
I gave you a check for me and David in Arlington. If you need any more info from us just let me know!

Sue, David has been corrected.
I don't mean to jump on anybody, it's just that All I can do is add the names I get from Chris and double check the list.
Don't stop asking about things, just ask Chris first. :D

Susan I have both you and David's entry. Gary - David's info was on that spreadsheet I sent you, what happened?
As for the rest of you be patient. It can take from 1 to 4 days for me to get the Titledisc entries. As much as many of you think it's not pay your money and suddenly appear on the update. Things take time. Once I get the entries it can take another few days for me to deal with them and then for Gary to update the website.
Willy - Skip and Gene paid Ginetta in Arlington yesterday. I found out last night via email, please be patient.
Ben from Titledisc is not able to send me new entries over the weekend (holiday for him). If you enter on Friday or over the weekend you will be fine. By Tuesday night I should see the entries and then get them updated online. Again please be patient.
Now after all that I want to thank those people that have already entered for Waco. I am sure I will get the usual crowd begging and pleading. You would think after 4 years and the last 2 sold out events people would get a clue.
Waco will be a fun weekend I gaurantee it. Texas 10 Saturday and the USDGC qualifier on Sunday.
More news soon...
Thanks
Chris

RE: David. It was a typo with the player ID. It was corrected when I double checked the entries online with the list you sent. Within 1/2 hour of the updates being posted.
That was the only error I found when I double checked the list.
Everything should be in order from what I received now.

Considering how many time a day I check the Tx10 website I appreciate what you do.

Chris,
I was in Waco today and I came across at least one problem that you might need to look into. Hole #8 on the Beast has a motor home and a giant 18 wheeler trailer parked about 50ft from the basket blocking the hole from the teeing area. One of the maintenance workers said that it has been there for a couple of weeks because they can't move it.
Another problem that we ran across, forgive me if this was already posted.
(Quick diversion. I am growing weary of page after page added daily of information COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THIS THREAD. There are other forums for that and the majority of people who are seeking relevant information about this tourney can find that information quickly and would appreciate your silence greatly. Now, back to the point. At regular Cameron on hole #9 a large portion of the bamboo has eroded away making a very steep, muddy drop off directly into the creek about 20ft behind the basket making a quarter circle shape to the left side of the hole. Just thought that this info would be interesting to you.
Lastly, I have to be at a wedding in Ft. Worth at 7pm on Saturday, so I will have to leave immediately after the second round. If I cash, I want to apologize for not being at the awards ceremony and ask if it is o.k. for someone to pick up any prizes that I may get. Please let me know if this would be a problem.
Thanks

That lost bamboo was due to city work on the area. It looked bad during Am Charity event I was told and looks worse now after all the rains. I was amaazed when I was there for the Team Smack challenge last weekend.

Thanks for the update on the Waco course and I understand what you are saying, but I also know there wouldn't be the great ideas, increased competition and over-all fun it we didn't let people vent a little. We did move one of the overrun schmack talking to another thread because it had nothing to do with the TX10. Almost 300 pages, this thread gets ALOT of use.

there's a wealth of info over at texas10tour.com. Also, Chris usually sends out an email when he posts an important announcement on here. This board is more about the community of players that follow the Thunder around, throwing some plastic once in awhile, hanging out and talking smack the rest of the time. Once in awhile we even combine all 3. The fact that you would get on here and whine about searching through a few pages to find what is readily available elsewhere... is just sad.
Also, for the record... AOL has NEVER made any software worth a crap, Instant Messenger or otherwise. If that's what you're using to connect to the 'net... no wonder you're so cranky

Quicker diversion: You'd think a youth minister would have more patience and understanding about people who have something they love in common reaching out to each other. You really should reevaluate your life if a little idle chit chat really makes your blood boil that much. God sees your heart....and I don't mean that idly.
