Thanks Bill. Please bring along your OB disc on Wednesday night so I can get a photo of it for the world to enjoy. I thought that was one of the funniest things we have ever done to someone. Hopefully Danielle won't make the Ace Race holes with too much OB. :D

Will do Chris. If I can get it back from Randall, He made fun of me all day monday, He took it to show his Mom, grandma, ect.....

This is the prettiest day I have seen in a long time. Ladies Night is lucky enough to fall on this beautiful day. Tonight we will work on something during the focus time, I am not sure what it will be yet. We will try to play as many holes as we can, and this time we will skip 11A and 11B. :D
The CTP will directly follow the round.
Bring your bags and great attitudes, disc golfers live for days this beautiful. Hope to see you there.

And a big CONGRATULATIONS to LAURA KARSHIS and MICHEAL STEEL for representing LOLO in Corpus this weekend. Good job LADIES!!!!

Sep 07 2004, 01:55 PM
Nelle, may I sugest a topic for focus time?.

Topic:
O.B. where is it, and how to stay out of it.

Topic qustions? :1. Are some disc attracted to O.B?

2. After the 3rd O.B , are you allowed
to curse out loud?

3. Why is there so much O.B ? :mad::confused:

4. Do the other people on you card laugh
when you go O.B ? :o

Just thought this might help, I wish I had taken this class before this weekend.

Have a good Ladys night Nelle :).

Sep 07 2004, 02:28 PM
I am still laughing :D

The story will live in Corpus history for many years to come. Nothing will beat hearing it from Bill himself but here goes...

The course at West Guth has a road, a creek and plenty of OB areas. To make it very clear to all the players we gave everyone a very cool full color players handbook that listed ALL the OB's and the course map. The list was extensive and if I can remember was for about 14 of the 18 holes. (Bill?)

During lunch of the first day I was out socializing when I came across Bill. I summoned up the courage to ask him if he was okay? He had just shot a 79 to be DFL in MA2. I hoped he was okay and not hungover or something worse. To my surprise he had a big smile on his faced and proceeded to tell me this...

"You know Chris all those OB's listed? Well I checked them all off for you during that round and well I got them all!".

I tried not to laugh. What I wanted to do was make sure was to check the scorecard again to make sure he hadn't missed one.

Anyway the story reverberated around for the day into the night.

On Sunday afternoon prior to the final 9 rounds an unknown player returned a disc to HQ. Amazingly it had about 14 bright green OB flags stuck right through the middle of it. He had found Bill's OB disc. So doing the right thing I called Bill out in front of everyone and we presented him with his disc back. We left the OB flags where they were found :D

The photo will come soon.

Sep 07 2004, 02:37 PM
Yea, that souds about right Chris.
I think it was 11 O.B's
And guy's I'm still laughing at it too.....
I lost 3 orc's, 1 beast, 1 crush, and a freaking putter.
And still had a good time, Thats why I'm telling everone that you have to make the next CCC. :)
By the way, when Chris called me up to get my disc they found, It was soooooo funny, I'm sure I was as red as a wildcat. :o

jimbo1944
Sep 07 2004, 03:36 PM

Paul? Calvin? C'mom LO OMBs, let's get it on. What about OMB's from other areas. Larry T? Nine Lives? GnD? C'mon guys, I'm ready for my first sanctioned play since Iowa.

The boss and I checked out the layout of the course yesterday. Could be interesting. Keep in mind, that this tournament will serve as a fundraiser for the downtown association and bring awareness for the sport. The City of Live Oak will be sending a team of employees to challenge L.O.D.G.A. and L.O.L.O.:cool:

We will meet at the parking lot next to the dentist office. Usual time. We will play the same holes we played last Sat. Only a few holes will have any conflict: 15,16,26-28. We will just need to play smart and give way to the runners. This should not be a problem. ;)

LOST DISC HOLE 11 at Carroll Marty in Iowa. I am a lefty and I hyzered it into the vine type trees to the right about 25 to 35 feet short of the basket, up say 25 to 40 feet.

This was a very important disc to me. It was a taffy 2nd Run White CE Firebird FX Rainbow dyed 174G. This was like mint only thrown 5 times. My name, phone number and PDGA number is on the inside of the rim in permanent black sharpie.

Please if anyone of you has found it I will gladly pay in cash or plastic a handsome REWARD. I hope there is an honest player out there who has found it.

It was rumored that Carlos said he had no idea how good this girl was! Go Nelle!

I started a new policy last night, and will let ams use their points for their entry fee. 10 points will get you in!
