I heard we are expecting 2-6 more inches of rain today, so unless we have signifigant clearing today (doubtful), the Pro/am doubles mini at Live Oak will be postponed to Thursday, when the sun is supposed to shine finally. Even if it begins to clear up today, most of the course is under water, and will need time to drain. Check back here at 3pm when I'll make the final announcement.

It is nice and sunny with partly cloudy skies. Hole 2's fairway is covered with some trees that have been uprooted. Hole 16's tee is very wet and the puddle/huge hole in front is full of water. The back looks fine and we should be able to cross the ditch fine. It really is clearing up. So dont be scared of a little water.

It's sunny downtown too! Unless the skies open up, the mini is on! We'll play a modified format in the back side of the course so we can stay away from the drainage ditches.

Don't forget tonite is the LOSO CTP. Closest player gets his/her choice of cash payout or free entry to LOSO courtesy of Sir Atwood. If closest takes the cash, second closest gets the free entry.

Ladies Night was a blast!!!!! We had six women out there on Tuesday in hot but breezy conditions. Laura Karshis, Jenn Morales, Jenny Cashdollar, Jaimee Curtis, Crista Bailey and myself. 13 year old Crista made a clean sweep winning the round and the CTP prize. She picked a very nice ZTX10 shirt donated by Chris Himing, and she also picked a 150 pink Leopard donated by Kat and Tony Bender from Houston. 30 players compete in week 14 of 30 of the LODGA Wednesday Night pro/am doubles league at Universal City. Week 15 will be back in Live Oak July 14, 5:45 cut off to sign up! Chris Himing and Josh Barling tear it up and set a new UC temp format course record at -11. Each player received $10 bounty for beating the course record. Josh came away the big winner of the night by hitting an ace during the CTP and taking $40.

Yea, the best way is the cell # , you know always on the move. Just heard from the hanger the phone in the jet wont pick up while it's in the hanger, getting flap, and valves checked this weekend, should be out of the shop by thursday

Yes, it's true! Jason Hess (Shawn's brother) comes out for the first time in 6 months and hits number one at Universal City left handed for $500. You heard right. Right before the mini, we took a vote, and voted to up the ace pot to $500 since the turnouts on Sunday have been getting smaller and smaller. Well, that didn't work!! Fortunately, the backup ace pot is at $376 and will be capped at $400 until the backup is large enough so we can bump the pot to $500 again.

Don't forget the Wednesday Night doubles league this week at Live Oak... Week 15... half way home!

We have been blessed with another beautiful day today in Live Oak. Ladies Night will be meeting at the practice basket for our focus skill. From 5:45-6:15 we will be working on putting, if you have extra putters please bring them, if not I have some. We will then play some holes and have the CTP at 8:00. Tonight we will also be having the drawing for the Live Oak Summer Open entry donated by our good friend Robbie "Rooster" Cooper from Austin. So bring your bags and good attitudes!!!!!!!!! Getting more women involved in tournament disc golf is a great thing, and we're all better off for your efforts in Live Oak, Danielle. I'm glad to be able to help out.

Tuesdays Ladies Night was very nice. We practiced our putting for about 30 minutes and then played 12 holes. We had five ladies, Laura Karshis, Jennifer Morales, Crista Bailey, and Stephanie McWhurter came our for a wonderful night in Live Oak. Crista won the round and recieved an X out Beast and Jennifer Morales won the CTP and got a Champion Beast both donated by Chris Himing.
