Yeah, but I can't think of anything bad to say about him either. Other than he's older than me, but that's not really that bad.
Let's see, he's a...nope. Oh, I got it. He pulls a cart because he's...no, wait, nevermind. Oh here we go.
Really nice people make me sick.
Kinda lame, but smacking Jim ain't easy. We all hope we're still enjoying the company of our disc golf buddies and the course when we're as ancient as he is.

Maybe they sell "GAME" at your new job. Word around the campfire is you need it.
With a job as worthless as that one, it's no wonder he let's you off whenever you need the time...
Hey speaking of KY, have they cut you that endorsement check yet...? Last I heard they were gonna put a picture of you smiling on the bottle, but they thought that would be a little too "straight forward" and everybody knows Bill Karshis is anything but straight.
What did you beat Randall by. :o
I rest my case. If anyone needs game there buddy is you.
I know I suck and I never said I didn't.
So smack on someone else Jody.
I will check and see if they sell GAME , If they do, do you want me to pick you up some too?

We do smack our own way....
Yes Jody, I did notice that. :)
Here's the deal. Its supposed to be fun, but can't be fun if someone takes offense. Its simple, speaking as one who has more nasty smack directed at him than just about anyone else I know (even shirts made in his smacked up honor), if you look at it as just innocent fun that doesn't mean anything, you'll be fine. As soon as you think someone is seriously trying to hurt your feelings, you're screwed.
For instance, do you think I take seriously all the crap McKibbin says about my game? (Not that anyone takes him seriously about anything, of course.) Hell no. I know he's just messing with me.
Deep down below the smack, he has a deep seeded desire to be just like me. Hell, he probably has pictures of me hanging on his wall and some tacked to his full length mirror, where he practices looking at his putting style so that on the course he can at least look like he knows what he's doing.

that is spot on...
I just wanted to have fun and sling a little mud. But if someone's feelings gets hurt it back-fires on the mud-slinger. Well, at least the mud-slinger w/ moral character that is.
Gotcha.
BTW, see my last paragraph above for an example of quality smack. Lessons are cheap, all you have to pay is attention (a resource that McKibbin can scarcely afford). :)

BillyBob don't take it seriously. He would have to have feelings to do that. His tactics work real well though. See he got you to quit smacking on him and go after Dave who doesn't have any feelings either. Now me, I got feelings and I am really hurt that you don't smack on me more. I have to look in the mirror and smack on myself to get smacked on. By the way, MarkA,if you want some putting lessons let me know. :D:D:D:D
I know I said I would not post , but I want to clear a few things up.before I go off line
1. my feeling are NOT hurt. and I hope I did not hurt anyones.
2. I go online to talk about golf, but evertime I get on the smack talk starts, I don't need that sh**. I'm old and have been in enough arguments in my life, no need to get into a pissing match with some freraking KID. I refuse to freaking do it anymore, all it does is make Live Oak look like a bunch of punks.I think we all realy need to stop.IMO
3. I can't spell worth a sh** :o
4. I need to get back to work, this posting just doen't pay much.
So, keep talking smack and I will keep reading.

From what I have heard there will be a new course opening in Cibolo, I think it's going to be at Nimitz Park right off of FM 78, and it should be a full 18 holes. I'm not sure when it will be done, last time I heard someone talking about it they said it would be finished by the end of July, so I'm guessing they're still working on it. :)
wheresdave
Jul 29 2004, 02:59 PM
I think LOPAR said it would be two 18 holes course with a possible third
I heard that what they wanted is to get a few really good courses around here so that they can host super gigantic tournaments, maybe some national tour events. Plus we can really use them. Live Oak's course is great, but we need more than 2 1/2 courses in San Antonio. ;)
Cibolo Course-
John Houck would have the true inside scoop on the opening date. I have heard of some delays, though. Will keep everyone posted of the status.
LOPAR, there's a request for your presence on the LOSO thread. :)
Yo Billy, thanks for the help partner. You ready to tear up Int with Frosty and I. We all got your back. Ace pots are getting split between us 3. I'm gonna bring some cheap whiskey and maybe a few 10 dollar saigon gaptooth whores. Also, I think Frosty and I are gonna be sleeping in the Tahoe. Lemme know what else I can do to help, and thanks again Big Bad Billbo Brown. :D
Is Randall going up there? I had to leave rec, cause I was sick of Randall beating me.
all it does is make Live Oak look like a bunch of punks
Amen, bro, there is a LODGA smack talk thread. Keep this thread sane, please. (sugar added)
you forgot to put a cherry on top, brian. :D
I lost that along time ago!
Hey Brian, you might want to check out the point totals from yesterday, looks like you may have given some newbie bonus points that counted toward the standings.
Bill, everything looks right... you have earned 11 points + 5 bonus points for a total of 16. The 11 is for the placement in the league, and the 16 is for merchandise. These numbers will always be 5 points off.
Lol I'm not talking about me. Some guy shows up yesterday and is already 6 points ahead of me. Unless he's a natural ;)
I dunno, some of those points looked a little funky, but then again I have no idea how all this works.
the only newbie ahead of you is Scott Polski, and he earned 17 point last night, and has 22 for merchandise (actually 0, because he cashed out).

I'd like to personally thank the guys from the Riverside disc golf club...great bunch of bagge....I mean people. :D They did an awesome job cleaning everything up. Guys worked their asses off!!
Also, I must say, Chris did an awesome job designing the back course.

It was good to see so many LO'ers out their reppin.' Can't wait for the next tourney..
The Sunday mini at UC was moved for one day to Mike Huey's property in Pipe Creek. 20 players played 18 tough holes with a side splitting hill even Lance couldn't ride a bike up. We celebrated Keith "Big Bird" Baker's 44th birthday afterwards and had awesome BBQ and a chocolate cake. Oh yeah, and there was a keg! Thanks Mike Huey for hosting us!
Since it was Keith's Birthday, we all played like crap on purpose so he could win open at even par. And then he got heat stroke, ouch. A pipe creek local named Mike Harrell took am at +6. Scores ranged from even to +48. The ace pot lives on and should be close to $400 this Sunday. Come take some Live Oak cash if you can.
Don't forget the Wednesday Night league moves to Universal City this week August 4, sign up by 5:45 pm.

5 women enjoyed a hot, but tolerable night playing disc golf. Jaimee Curtis (soon to be Sisson), Jennifer Morales, Stephanie McWhirter, Crista Bailey, and myself practiced and played some holes. Jaimee stole the show and won the CTP and the round and took the home a Lance Armstrong Livestrong Bracelet, a mini and a sticker for her efforts. Good shooting Jaimee. There was also movement of the LOLO bag tags. Good job girls. Thanks again to the ladies coming out and thanks Chris Himing for donating the prizes. Next week we will have a local former world champ who will teach us all about putting. :)
We are running low on prizes so if you have a new merchandise that you would like to donate it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the all of the support and we will see you ladies next Tuesday.

She received a Gateway putter donated by RT Evans. Thanks RT.
A very special thanks to Brian Schmidt for the very informative putting clinic he held. He even passed out handouts to us and he showed us different ways of putting, making 99% of them when he showed us. All the girls really enjoyed it and we hope he can come back to teach us all more. It's in conjunction with the Keep Austin Weird 5K. $15.00 to enter and you get a "Keep Austin Weird" T-shirt and disc. And there is a free concert going on all day. 8 bands starting at 12 noon and lasting until 10pm. With Bob Schneider headlining from 8pm-10pm. (if you haven't heard of Bob Schneider, you are missing out!) The tourney starts at 12 noon (I think). And you can register on-line at www.keepaustinweird5k.com (http://www.keepaustinweird5k.com)

sorry i haven't replied. computer is down. anyone interested in fantasy football all you have to have is a yahoo id. there will be a live online draft and you will pick players and form a team. depending on how your players do in real life gives you points. whoever has the most points wins. you play head to head each week. you can trade players, drop players, pick up free agents. as far as money goes that can be decided later. if your interested email me (i will respond) there are 10 spots open and about 4-5 have been claimed. any other questions you might have just ask.

Hello to my fellow Live Oakers from Des Moines. Sorry I have not been able to keep you up to date better but the server for our hotel has been broke. It is finally working now that everything is over. I did my best with what I had. I only played two rounds when I wasn't in pain. Not an excuse, just the truth. It was great fun and loved every minute of it even with the pain. I would do it all over again. There was some great old men here playing and they play very well. I didn't want it to end. Sorry I couldn't do better for Live Oak, but did my best. Randle had a rough road to go being one of the youngest. He still did a great job. I got 23 autographs of former champions, all on one of the World"s disc. I also got the ten other guys that I played with to sign a World's disc for me. I had two Japanese players in my group. I was one a card with just them and me one round and that was very interesting. They would say something and laugh and I would laugh also and didn't know what I was laughing at (probably me). They were very gracious and friendly. We exchanged mementos and had a great time nor understanding each other. Their disc are only 150 weight. Something about they can only have that weight to use in Japan. Will tell more stories when I get back in about another week. Will be coming back through St. Louis to visit my sister. Want to know anything else, send me a message. I should be able to answer now. It will be nice to get back home, but it has been a ball here.

Hello all,
I am in St. Louis now just resting up a little. Will probably head back about Wednesday. The boy is home on leave and want to see him before he goes back to N.C. on Sunday. Hope everyone is doing fine. Be glad to see everyone next time. If I understand every thing right, next year the ams will be in Arizona and the pros will be in Pennsylvania. Hope more can go next time. It is so much fun and a great experience. If I can handle it I know the rest of you can. Start preparing now.
Hey Jim, I guess you made it to your sisters ok, call me when you get back into town. Becarful of those OK drivers, I have 4 words for them "Move The F*** Over " . I mean, you know how the slower traffic pull's into the right lane, well in OK, they dont move over for nothing.:mad:They do like 55 in the fast lane in the middle of no where, I guess they are use to being in the middle of BFE and I guess they know they are never going to get out of there, so they are in no hurry

Ladies,
Tonight will be another fun filled night in Live Oak. I have decided we will have a warm up from 5:30-5:45. This time will be spent stretching and practice putting. Then the focus time will be from 6:00-6:30. Having the focus time a little later will give others a chance to get to Ladies Night and not miss out on informative information discussed during the focus time. Today's focus time will be spent on the introduction of the forehand shot or flick shot. This shot comes in handy so don't miss out. We will play as many holes as we can get in before 8:00 and then do the CTP. Tonights CTP will have a fun twist!!!! Hope to see everybody there.

Ladies Night was a great success last night and I appreciate the women coming out. We had 8 women again and a big thanks to Dora Guzman, Crista Bailey, Jennifer Morales, Laura Karshis, Micheala Steel, Lory Olson, and Jenny Cashdollar for coming out and playing. A special thanks to Steph McWhirter for stopping by to say Hi to all the ladies, unfortunatly she could not stay to play. The women all participated in the forehand lesson and did well.
Crista Bailey came in first place for the round and recieved a new 168 Polaris donated to LOLO by Brian Schmidt.
We had a little twist to the CTP last night. All the girls had to throw using the forehand flick and Dora Guzman won a beautiful Leopard also donated by Brian.
LOLO appreciates all the merchandise that we are given. It does make a difference and keeps the women coming out knowing there are prizes for there efforts. Thanks again Brian and all who have donated in the past.
Please dont forget the Discraft Ace Race on September 19th at 2:00 brought to you by the Ladies Of Live Oak. Come out and show your support for the promotion of women in disc golf.

For $20.00 the player will receive two of the same Prototype Discraft discs of which only one must be used for the One Disc Ace Race, a One Disc Ace Race hat and a One Disc Ace Race bag tag.
The Grand Prize package is a One Disc Ace Race Winner hat, a Discraft Elite pro golf bag with One Disc Ace Race Winner embroidery, a Discraft Pro Golf Disc towel, a full color One Disc Ace Race mini and 10 of the new discs that were received in the package in Elite-Z plastic.
Each player is required to use the discs provided in the One Disc Ace Race package. If the disc is lost that player has the option to use the second disc from the package. Only one throw is to be made from the tee area. The player with the most aces after 36 holes is the Grand Prize winner. If no aces, most metal hit receives the Grand Prize package. If there are two or more players with the same number of aces then metal hit would be the tiebreaker.

There will not be a Sat. mini this weekend. Live Oak will be hosting a Boy Scouts DG tournament instead. If you still want to play, they are looking for some players to help the BSA learn how to play. They will be playing the lower 18 starting around 9:00 AM.

Is the Boy Scout Tourn. involved with an all day event?
I don't know all the details. Just what Joe told me. If you're not at Outlaws or Keeping Austin Weird, do you want to participate?

had to cancel outlaws so i would love to do saturday. let me know what's up.
Hello from Omaha! Have a great time Wednesday. Thanks James for taking care of business. Played in a tournament here this weekend. Awesomely hard course. Great warmup for Outlaws. I think I rolled 75% of the holes. Played with Eric McCabe. Great guy, what a golfer! No Sunday mini at UC unless someone wants to step up. I'll be in Round Rock! See everyone soon.
Just talked with the scouts and appearantly, they will not need our assistance on Saturday. They are planning on utilizing the lower 18 between 9 a.m. and noonish and will let the other golfers play through if necessary. Manana

Ladies Night was a blast last night.
We had fun despite ALL the people who played through us. I am fully aware of the courtesy of allowing people to play through but after the 15th person it gets us all a little frustrated, so guys on Tuesdays if you could please give us a little break and play behind us or a couple holes ahead of us it would be really nice. Thanks for that.
We had 7 women out there again!!!!! Thanks you ladies.
Laura Karshis, Crista Bailey, Lory Olson, Dora Guzman, Jennifer Morales and her sister, first timer Julie Morales all came out and enjoyed a great, but hot night in Live Oak. The LOLO tags were in effect last night and many were switched. Good job girls.
The girls learned the x step during driving and tried it out last night. Jennifer Morales sweeps the night winning the round and the CTP. She was so nice to allow her little sister to chose the prize. Julie picked a Avair Putter donated by Brian Schmidt. Thanks Brian!!!! Jennifer won a Kangaroo Mini doanted by Chris Himing. Thanks Chris!!!
Again thanks to all the ladies for coming out, thanks to all the people who have donated merchandise to the ladies night.
Dont forget Discrafts Ace Race brought to you by the Ladies of Live Oak. Sunday, September 19th at 2:00. This event is for everybody and benefits the promotion of women in disc golf. We appreciate all the support!!!!!

To clear things up for the ultra sensitive guys out there, I dont have a problem with one or two people playing through. I do have a problem with groups of five or more playing through. Atleast two groups of five or more played through last night and we were waiting for them to clear all night. I am, and I teach the girls to be considerate of other players, so this is not a big deal. But it doesnt take a genius to know when you see a card of seven women, go the opposite direction. :D
Thanks for being understanding.

Well said Danielle. It's not as if these groups can't just skip a hole or two to pass you by.
Sounds like you are getting in practise for your upcoming TD role. Can't wait /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
