At the Go Ace Red Kiln Disc Park, thirty four miles by road southeast of Shanghai in China, Taipei’s Su Mei Yang made it three wins in a row to close out the 2026 PDGA Asia Tour. After playing second fiddle to Chia-Fang Chen in the early part of the tour, Yang stormed home to take the title.

Meanwhile Yang’s son, Jacky Chen, took out the MPO win in Shanghai, making it back to back wins for the pair. Chen has only played three tour tournaments though and didn’t accumulate enough points to topple Joey Bruno from the top of the tour standings.

Su Mei Yang carried her good form from the Lipad Pilipinas to Japan to turn the tables from Bangkok on close friend and rival Chia-Fang Chen with a commanding eight stroke win in FPO at the Nakijin Village General Athletic Park in Okinawa this weekend.

Making his second appearance on the 2026 PDGA Asia Tour, Jacky Chen, who happens to be Su Mei’s son, won MPO in a hard fought three way battle with Manabu Kajiyama and Joey Bruno. Chen had seen a four stroke lead slip in the last three holes and needed to hit an edge of circle putt on the 18th green to seal the win.

Joey Bruno, one of three disc golfers playing all seven events of the 2026 PDGA Asia Tour, surged from a four-stroke deficit after round one, to a nine-stroke win, his first on the tour after five tries.

Asian disc golf legend Su Mei Yang had her first win on the tour too. In a dominant performance Yang stretched her six stroke, round one lead to thirteen strokes at the end.

The 2026 PDGA Asia Tour traveled into the highlands, about 400 miles north of Bangkok, to Chiang Mai for the third leg of the ‘Siam Swing’ of the tour and the fourth of seven stops overall.

Clay Edwards continued his streak of strong finishes by forcing a playoff with the last putt in regulation, then taking out the win over Jakub Semerád. While Thai player Khim Chotchuang put her poor showing in the Samui Swine Classic well behind her with a comfortable win over Margaret Patterson.

Last week the 2026 PDGA Asia Tour traveled 300 miles south over the Gulf of Thailand to that nation’s second largest Island - Koh Samui, for the Samui Swine Classic XIII. Margaret Patterson in FPO, and Philo Brathwaite in MPO, both proved fitting wearers of the champions belts - each have their own connection to ‘The Swine’ and a story that is part of the chronicles of disc golf on Samui.

The PDGA Asia Tour moved about nine degrees in latitude closer to the equator this week, from the cooler climes of the Taipei winter to the warmth and humidity in the lush grounds of the Lakewood Country Club, twenty five miles east of Bangkok, for the Siam Open 2026.

Charlotte NC’s Clay Edwards and Jakub Semerad from Czechia took first and second place in MPO, while Chinese Tapei’s Chia-Fang Chen backed up her FPO victory in the first leg of the tour with a dominant 20 stroke win here.

The PDGA is pleased to announce the inaugural Asia Tour Series. The 2026 PDGA Asia Tour will feature seven B and C-Tier events across five countries and regions over a 10-week period from early January through mid-March. This tour has been created to celebrate the Asian disc golf community and its emergence as a leading growth area and Tour-ist destination for our sport. It aims to attract players from across eastern Asia and around the world to meet, compete, unite and celebrate!

Disc Golf continues to grow strongly in Europe, and PDGA Europe is aware that, in order to achieve new, more ambitious goals, more resources are needed to keep boosting this momentum.

Therefore, as of October 1, 2025:

The 2025 Canadian National Disc Golf Championships, held from September 12–14, brought nearly 500 players from coast to coast to coast to the Peterborough-Durham-Northumberland region of Ontario, for one of the most memorable events in Canadian disc golf history. Historically, Nationals has been the pinnacle of disc golf competition in Canada, and this year, Tournament Directors Darrell Bankes and Sean O’Reilly raised the bar even higher in delivering a top-tier event that showcased all the very best that Canadian disc golf has to offer.

The disc golf competition at the 12th International World Games reached its climax on Sunday with the placement and medal matches in what proved to be an epic, MPO/FPO Mixed Doubles formatted, competition.

In the Gold Medal match, the USA team of “Missy Gannon Buhr” jumped out to a 4-hole lead after 4 and cruised to the top of the podium, besting Finland’s Eveliina Salonen and Nestori Tukhanen, 5 and 3.

The votes have been counted for the 2025 PDGA Elections, which took place through the month of July with 101,155 ballots sent to eligible PDGA members. Of those, 10,292 ballots were returned, which is a participation mark of 10.17%. Participation was at 10.65% in 2024.

Just over a week ago, more than 100,000 Estonians gathered at the Song Festival Grounds in Tallinn, Estonia, continuing a powerful tradition, awakening, and celebration that dates back to 1869.

Five candidates will be vying for three open positions on the PDGA Europe Board of Directors. These self-nominated candidates share a passion for disc golf. They have diverse backgrounds and a wide range of skillsets, both in their professional lives and within the sport.

For the first time in 24 years, disc golf will be a medal sport at The World Games.

Set for August 7-17 in Chengdu, China, 16 countries with one male and one female player will compete at the highest level of international competition for non-Olympic sports.

The Paul McBeth Foundation receives an annual grant from PDGA International to support the PDGA's mission of growing disc golf globally.

As disc golf is introduced and takes flight in more countries, the PDGA is expanding its efforts to support and promote the individuals, local clubs and national associations on the ground making it happen. To this end our International Program is pleased to announce the following portion-time hires and accompanying social media page launches:

As the sun rises over Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument, a unique event is taking shape.

Players meander through this 1,200-year-old temple praying for a solid opening round at the Khmer Disc Golf Resort, located just 20 minutes away. As the monks chant their Sanskrit prayers in the iconic silhouetted pillars of Angkor Wat and the massive ancient trees consuming Ta Phrom Temple, the heat rises with the anticipation of winning the country’s most prestigious and longest lasting PDGA tournament: The Khmer Cup!

With a strong foundation in place, disc golf in Europe is primed to keep building.

A new multi-year plan, centered around an elevated role from PDGA Europe and a multi-year agreement with Team Disc Golf Estonia, will serve as the cornerstones for continued growth and exposure.

The PDGA is excited to announce that Estonia, hosts of the PDGA Major European Disc Golf Festival this summer, will once again host European PDGA Majors in 2026 and 2028, setting the stage for the second PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships to be hosted in Europe.

In mid-December 2024, the PDGA announced a new sponsor a member in a low- or lower-income country program. PDGA members, when they renewed or joined, could now help grow the game we all love in a brand-new way – by contributing the $20 cost of an Amateur membership for a deserving disc golf enthusiast in Africa, Asia, Latin America or Ukraine.

Honor above all.

That was the original tagline when the Presidents Cup was created in 2006 and now, as a new era of the prestigious team event begins, those words ring even more true.

Under the direction of the PDGA, the 2025 Presidents Cup returns to American soil for the second time in its storied history on April 30 at Swenson Park in Stockton, California, ahead of the 2025 PDGA Champions Cup.

The storylines this year are deeper than ever.

The 2025 Singapore Sling, held January 11-12 in the “Lion City”, set a few records, not all of them good. Players endured over 250 mm (10 inches!) of rain as an unprecedented monsoon surge settled over the city starting on Friday and lingered through the weekend.
