PDGA Europe Membership Fee Update
PDGA Europe Membership Fee Update
2026 Membership Season

Disc Golf continues to grow strongly in Europe, and PDGA Europe is aware that, in order to achieve new, more ambitious goals, more resources are needed to keep boosting this momentum.
Therefore, as of October 1, 2025:
- PDGA Europe memberships will be priced in euros (EUR) instead of US dollars. This shift is part of our ongoing efforts to better serve European members and streamline operations within our region.
- The Professional membership fee will increase from $30 to 40€, reflecting the growing range of activities and services provided by PDGA Europe.
- The Amateur membership fee will remain at 20€ (previously $20), in line with our goal to keep the sport accessible for new and casual players.
These updates support the expanding role of PDGA Europe, including:
- Coordinating and supporting European events and TDs
- Developing new grant programs and partnerships
- Strengthening National Associations and EDGF collaborations
- Leading media and outreach efforts across the region
- Support programs for junior, master, and women's divisions
- As our most recent initiative, assuming responsibility for the bid process, selection, and support of the annual European PDGA Major, beginning in 2026 — a major step forward that will require resources and staffing.
These changes follow discussions with our affiliated National Association partners, and we appreciate the constructive input received throughout the process. It is worth mentioning that PDGA European/International fees have remained constant over the last 17 years.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping grow the sport in Europe!
FAQ:
1. Why are the membership fees changing?
The changes reflect the growing role and responsibilities of PDGA Europe. With increased activity in areas like event coordination, grants, National Association partnerships, and now the management of the annual European Major, additional resources are needed to support this work sustainably.
2. Why switch from USD to EUR?
Pricing in euros provides better alignment with the European market, avoids exchange rate confusion and costs in most European countries, and simplifies financial operations for both members and the organization.
3. How much will the new membership fees be?
- Professional membership: increasing from $30 to 40€
- Amateur membership: staying at 20€ (previously $20)
4. Why is only the Pro fee increasing?
The Amateur fee remains at the same level (in EUR), in line with PDGA Europe's commitment to keeping disc golf accessible for beginners and casual players. The Pro fee increase reflects the higher level of services and support often associated with competitive play.
5. What does my membership include?
Your PDGA membership includes official player ratings and stats, eligibility to compete in A-Tier and higher sanctioned events, access to member resources, and the ability to shape the sport through voting and feedback. Members can also take advantage of certain discounts and partnerships, such as a 50% discount on Disc Golf Network subscriptions. See full details here: https://www.pdga.com/members/benefits
In Europe, your membership also supports:
- Development grant programs
- TD support and materials
- National Association collaboration & support
- European-level media, outreach and coordination
- PDGA presence at key events
- European Major management and support
- Development of Disc Golf coaching materials & school programs
- PDGA Europe Women’s activities
6. Will the process for joining or renewing change?
No — the membership sign-up and renewal process will remain the same at pdga.com, but prices will be shown in EUR for European members from October 1st onwards.
7. When do the new prices take effect?
The updated fees will apply to all 2026 memberships, which become available for purchase October 1st, 2025.
8. I already have a multi-year membership. Will this affect me?
No — if you've already purchased a multi-year membership before the change takes effect, your pricing will remain the same for the duration of your membership term.
9. Will this affect tournament fees or TD sanctioning fees?
Not directly. This change is specifically related to individual membership fees. However, a stronger and better-resourced PDGA Europe allows for improved services and support for TDs and events.
10. Who can I contact if I have questions or feedback?
You can contact the PDGA Europe staff at [email protected] or message us directly on social media. We’re happy to answer any questions and hear your feedback!
