Texas States Celebrates It’s 15th Year
National Tour Finds Fertile Ground in Florida for Growing Disc Golf Scene

The PDGA National Tour makes its return to Florida at the Sunshine State Shootout after a four year hiatus from participating in disc golf's highest level traveling series.
"Who was the Player of the Decade?" That question was posed to the PDGA Staff by DiscGolfer Magazine's Managing Editor Rick Rothstein towards the end of 2009. This question started a series of conversations on how would one go about making such a determination.

The purpose of this article, besides sharing the full 2009 results, is to really get into the nitty-gritty for the ‘hows and whys’ of our new process based 100% on stats to determine winners each year now that we have a full year of information to review.

Clash Productions has been filming Disc Golf tournaments since 2008. As they have grown, so has their commitment to quality coverage.
The Professional Disc Golf Association launched their 2010 National Tour with great fanfare on March 3-6 with The Memorial Championship presented by Discraft. Over 370 disc golfers from 33 states and four countries traveled to the desert oases of Fountain Hills and Scottsdale, Arizona to compete and celebrate their favorite sport.
David Feldberg regained his 2008 PDGA Player of the Year form with a resounding three-throw margin of victory over rising star Josh Anthon from California. Ken Climo and Philo Brathwaite tied for third.
Due to the overwhelming response to this year’s sign-ups for the 2010 Beaver State Fling National Tour Event, the staff has decided to split the Pro/Am weekend in order to accommodate additional players. The National Tour event will take place on the originally scheduled weekend of May 28th-30th and the Amateur Super Tour event will take place the following weekend of June 5th and 6th.
