The Amateur Championship at Bowling Green officially started today at 2pm Central time. There were over 450 amateurs in attendance representing 28 different states. Bowling Green is an ideal place to host an event of this magnitude because of the ideal geographic location (approximately 65% of the US population is within a day's drive) and the fact that it has more than a dozen courses capable of challenging the country's top amateurs.

The 6th annual Texas Women’s Disc Golf Championship is coming to the Sports Capital of Texas! The weekend of April 10-11, 2010 will bring to Round Rock the best women's and junior girls Disc Golf talent the world has to offer. The PDGA sanctioned event will host competition for A-tier, professional and advanced golfers, and B tier, for all other divisions. This year will be highlighted with a clinic on Friday before feature top female players, Vibram qualifier, super sized player packs, and player’s party that will ensure all ages will have a great time.
