Summer is drawing to a close and yet memories of the PDGA Worlds linger in our consciousness. This time though, it feels a little different. This isn’t Charlotte, or Santa Cruz, or even Rochester, though you’re getting closer.

This show has come a long way to get to its 100th show. It all began in December 0f 2003 when original host Matt Ott and I made an hour long drive to the Tinicum Safari tournament. That show became a 19 minute instructional video on the rules and objectives of the game. From there the show moved on to cover tournament play from the Great Eastern AM Cup at Tyler Park in Newtown, PA to the Brent Hambrick Memorial in Columbus Ohio.
After escaping remnants of Hurricane Isaac most of the weekend, the players in the Tim Selinske U.S. Masters Disc Golf Championship had to play out their last few holes in the rain. Condsidering that the forecast called for downpours all weekend, everyone was extremely pleased to only have to endure an hour or so of drizzle.

The 2012 Tim Selinske U.S. Masters started today in Louisville, Kentucky with Tropical Storm Isaac moving closer from the Southwest threatening blustery winds, heavy rains, and flash-flooding.
Today was warm, overcast, and breezy and although the skies were threatening, the 151 players thankfully made it through day one with only a very slight sprinkle here and there.
Once again, Flex D.G. will be kicking off the collegiate disc golf season with the Northeastern Collegiate Disc Golf Championship II. This year the NECDGC will be one of six Premier tournaments chosen by the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships to award two teams spots in the 2013 Championship. The question is; will anyone besides Penn State show up to represent the northeastern colleges?
The 2012 Next Adventure Amateur Championship took place at the Pier Park Disc Golf Course in Portland, Oregon, and was yet another very successful event resulting in this remark to tournament director Steve Carson:
The Augusta Disc Golf Association (ADGA) is hosting the area's largest annual disc golf tournament, the Augusta Classic presented by Robolli's on September 15th & 16th 2012. This PDGA A-Tier event was founded in 1990 and has been going strong for over 20 years. The tournament has a long lasting tradition that draws in players not only from the Augusta area, but around the country.
