European Moving Day

Denmark’s Karl Johan Nybo had the hot round of the day at the European Championships with a 55 (-11) to move into second place behind Simon Lizotte of Germany. Lizotte made great drives but struggled with his midrange game during round three but he was still able to post a 58 (-8) for a tournament total of -28 to hold onto a five throw lead over Nybo who is at -23 going into the final 18 holes tomorrow. Oscar Stenfelt of Sweden and Arttu Sikanen of Finland will round out the lead group at -21 and -20 respectively.

Vibram Day 1

The Vibram Open plays four rounds this year and Thursday was Day 1 of the crowning National Tour Elite Series event sponsored by Vibram Disc Golf. And it started off looking really, really bad.

The Kids are Alright

Oscar Stenfelt of Uppsala Sweden posted the low score of the day with a 56 (-10) in round 2 of the European Disc Golf Championships in Colchester United Kingdom to move from seventh into second place in the Open division at -16 for the tournament. First round leader, Simon Lizotte of Bremen Germany continued his stellar play and carded a 58 (-8) to maintain the four throw lead he brought into the day at -20.

Euro Championships Tee Off

Round one of the European Championships teed off this morning under cloudy conditions at the Essex University course in Colchester, United Kingdom. One hundred and ninety seven competitors from fifteen European nations are taking part in this bi-annual event, for individual honors but also for the first time in a new team format called the European Nations Championships.

European Championships

The 2012 European Disc Golf Championship will be played on the Classic Course of Wivenhoe Park in Colchester, United Kingdom at the University of Essex on August 15-18. Host to the 2011 British Disc Golf Open, the 18 hole course was redesigned in preparation for hosting the tournament, which will feature many of Europe’s top players competing for continental bragging rights.

Collegiate Season 2012-2013

The PDGA and the National Collegiate Disc Golf Union are extremely excited about the upcoming 2012-2013 season and can't wait to see the growth of this wonderful faction of our great sport. Collegiate disc golf is a great vehicle to get our sport to the next level. Last year we had over 100 schools participate in a collegiate disc golf tournament. Our goal is to double that this year. Vibram Open Tee Time Selection Show

On Tuesday August 7th at 8:00 PM, the 5th annual Vibram Open Tee Time Selection Show will be aired live from the Maple Hill Sap House after the weekly Tuesday night league. Watch as the tee time bracket gets filled in with the 7:30 to 3:00 groupings. If you are in the area, come on by to play in the Maple Hill Tuesday night league at 5:00 and stick around to watch the show live – maybe you could even help pick the names out of the hats!
