The PDGA is requesting nominations for candidates for the annual Bob West Memorial Award for Sportsmanship, where a sportsman or sportswoman is defined as "someone who exemplifies sportsmanship both on and off the disc golf course, observes the rules of play, and wins or loses with grace."
The votes from the 2015 PDGA elections are in and have been counted. The elections took place last month and voting ended on July 31st. A total of 25,223 ballots were sent out to eligible members with 5,076 members voting, representing a participation rate of 20.12% of eligible voters.

On Tuesday evening September 2nd, the PDGA Board of Directors met for the September monthly teleconference. The first order of business was the election of Board officers: President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. The process for the election of Board officers is available in Section 4 of the PDGA Bylaws. Rebecca Duffy, Dave West, Robert Decker and Kevin Mccoy will serve as officers and members of the executive committee until the next board officer elections in 2015.
The votes from the 2014 PDGA elections are in and have been counted. The elections took place last month and voting ended on July 31st. A total of 20,143 ballots were sent out to eligible members with 3,384 members voting, representing a participation rate of 16.80% of eligible voters.
Today is the last day to register for Am Worlds or get on the Am Worlds waitlist. Today is also the last day for players that are in Am Worlds to withdraw and receive a full refund minus the $10 handling fee. Those withdrawing from the event after today will only receive a player’s pack.
The PDGA Innovation Grant Program was created in 2008 to increase and promote the awareness of the sport of disc golf and the Professional Disc Golf Association. Applicants are encouraged to think outside of the box to develop innovative and unique programs which will promote the sport and increase participation.
The deadline for submission of applications for the first round of 2014 Innovation Grants is June 1, 2014.
Congratulations! The PDGA would like to announce that yet another milestone has been reached this year. We have reached 20,000 active members as of Wednesday, December 4th. Sara Nicholson, Memberships Manager for the Professional Disc Golf Association, had this to say of the recent achievement:

Rebecca Sue Zallek passed away in her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa on Wednesday, November 27th after an ongoing battle with brain cancer. She was 48. Becky is survived by Michael Susanin, her husband of seven years, mother Sandra Zallek, brother Chris Zallek (Sarah), sister JoAnne Zallek (Dave Champion) as well as six nieces and four nephews. Preceding her in death was her father Carl Zallek.
