Showdown at Swope
Another National Tour Elite Series tournament concluded today as the last putt hit the chains at the Kansas City Wide Open presented by GripEQ. The final round was played at Swope Park DGC on the Missouri side of Kansas City. Swope Park itself is a true treasure of the Midwest. Amazing disc golf course, check. Zoo, check. Beautiful ball golf course, check. Outdoor concert venue, check.
Rally at Blue Valley
Day 2 of Grip Equipment presents the 31st Kansas City Wide Open was hot, humid, windy, and that was only the beginning. For many players, the day's round would eventually be interupted and delayed by violent thunderstorms and gusting winds strong enough to break large limbs off of trees, collapse tents, and blow over trash cans, Some were able to finish before the lightning and rain delays were called, but unfortunately not everyone.
Waterworks...for some.
The 2013 Kansas City Wide Open presented by Grip EQ kicked off today at the beautiful and infamous Waterworks Park disc golf course in Kansas City, MO. The holes at Waterworks DGC are a unique blend of carved and manicured fairways, difficult elevation changes, awe inspiring views of the Kansas City skyline, and pin positions that can shake even the best of the best.
