Last Call for Grant Applications

The deadline for submission of applications for the first round of 2013 Innovation Grants is June 3, 2013.

The PDGA Innovation Grant Program was created in 2008 to increase and promote the awareness of the sport of disc golf and the Professional Disc Golf Association. Applicants are encouraged to think outside of the box to develop innovative and unique programs which will promote the sport and increase participation. 

2012 PDGA Players of the Year and Rookies of the Year

PDGA members playing in the Men’s and Women’s Open Pro divisions are eligible for Player of the Year awards by earning POY/ROY points based on their place of finish in PDGA B-Tiers and above.  Additional bonus points are earned by top ten finishers in categories such as Annual Rating, Total Earnings, Total Wins, Earnings Average, and Winning Average.

At the 2013 Tim Selinske United States Masters Championships in Burlington, NC, the stage was set for an exciting finish on Sunday.  Nearly every division was tight going into the final round, which would make for some late afternoon drama.  The forecast called for thunderstorms all day, and the rain began to fall in the early morning hours.  The weather would then take a turn for the better, and prove to be a non-factor as the play started to heat up.  The pros would be challenged by the Rock Creek course, as the Amateur divisions would battl

When day two of the 2013 Tim Selinske United States Masters Championships was set to begin, the clouds started to build over Cedarock Park.  The Carolinas have a propensity to deliver afternoon showers in late Spring, and today would be no different.  With a two hour downpour in the early afternoon, the players would not only be challenged by the courses, but the elements as well.  Rain golf is different; some feel that a more conservative approach might assist in avoiding mistakes, while others play more aggressive in order to capitalize on o

1000+ Years of Disc Golf!

The 2013 Tim Selinske United States Masters Championship has 53 Pro Members of the Professional Disc Golf Association competing in four divisions.  Counted amongst those ranks are nineteen PDGA numbers of the four-digit variety (that’s 50,000 membership numbers ago) and seven of those nineteen also have a four-digit (1000+) PDGA Player Rating – yikes!  Of the 126 Amateur PDGA Members in attendance, there are another eleven four-digit PDGA numbers to be found.
