IDGC hosts Charity Event

The Inaugural 2012 Easter Seals Disc Golf Classic will take place at the International Disc Golf Center (IDGC) this Saturday April 28th, in Appling, GA. Easter Seals is an international charitable organization devoted to providing opportunities for children and adults with physical disabilities. This event will raise money for Easter Seals of East Georgia which operates right here in our local community of Augusta.

The local community has stepped up with sponsorship for this event and the PDGA has put together a unique format to accommodate all participants. The singles PDGA C-Tier Pro/Am competition will begin at 9:30am and will consist of two rounds of disc golf. A one-round 4 person corporate team scramble event will start at 11:30am after an instructional clinic. The players will be battling it out on the esteemed IDGC courses. The singles competition will start on the W.R. Jackson Memorial Disc Golf Course and finish on the Jim Warner Memorial Disc Golf Course in the short layout and the team scramble will try their hand on the "Steady" Ed Headrick Memorial Course. The IDGC amenities coupled with the Easter Seals dedication to fundraising events will make this tournament one you don't want to miss!

A nice player package, lunch, dinner, and refreshments are being provided for all players, as well as beer for purchase with all proceeds going to the Easter Seals. Day of registration for the event will begin at 8:00am on Saturday, and cost is $40 for individuals or $150 for a 4 person team.
