I dont know much about the handicap stuff, cept i played twice on the big course, and they took the average of those two rounds and that was my handicap for the winter course. Why its done like that, I don't know- I'm just glad to play!

Just wanted to say a lilttle something about V-man here on the Round Rock thread.

Right after I jumped all over him on another thread (harder than I probably should have) he was one of the first people to come to my defense on another thread where I was taking a little heat. He also, completely on his own and unknown to me beforehand, announced that he would be handling certain situations for me that were causing grief to others, which I couldn't take care of. He made certain to mention that his intent was for me to enjoy the day on Saturday and the ZT10 finals.

I don't know if I deserve friends like that, but I'm **** glad I have them.

Vinnie, you're an amazing guy and you know I've got your back whenever you need it. Thanks.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, Dale, Dave and I played the winter course at Settler's about that time. Shot 3 down and won a whopping 2 dollars.

Well folks.... we went and we got wet.
We had lots of fun and we played great together.
Our starting pool had the Live Oak (team Iowa, Australia) and Lubbock, Dillo.
I beat Keith Baker, Jimmy tied Jay Reading, Eddie beat Himing, and Laura tied Nelli.
Marcus, metal, smitti, and edman lost to a stacked am field. Mr. Kinney found out how good the Women�s World Champ played. It was a close match; we beat everyone else in our pool easily. So we had to play the mix match Sunday morning which we shot the best scour of all. Then we went into match play against Arlington B. During the round Laura walked by me and stated she had already won her match and that Goblin had lost. I also got the thumbs up from Eddie, Jimmy, and Smitti. I knew Larry was going to kill his match. I was winning my match and Metal was in trouble. So I am walking back to H.D. thinking we win easily. If you were to have told me everyone winning their matches with three holes left was going to tie. I would call you a liar.
We ended up 2 wins- 3 loses- and 4 ties, Arlington B were 3 wins-2 loses and 4ties���
So we were out!
It was a great weekend and the team pride was high and will remain high. To all the players�.good job. To all the support group (the ladies) thanks for the hot food and keeping the fires lit. It was great fun and I think we should do her again!

I dont think their team was that big of a deal. I made some wise cracks about it, but it was all in fun. It is tough to get a team full of 9 players together for most clubs (most clubs, not the Rock) and even with all that talent, they could not pull out a victory...At least all of those people support the Live Oak mini's and tournaments...THis is not a sanctioned event...jsut for bragging rights. The Rock put on a good show, and showed some real class doing it.

if the sun ever comes out and this rain stops who wants to play the only course playable with NO MUD would be the ROCK!

all them flicks are heavy's, 73s and 4s. I would love to get my hands on some light ones, but haven't seen em yet. I bet a 160 would go FAR.

Yes Mini at the rock on Sunday. HELL the only course around that is not a mud hole is ROUND ROCK. the baskets were under water last weds 1,2,3,16,17. but all playable Sunday but if the water rises I just play the winter course. alot of grass on that layout

Just got informed that the U may be letting us off at noon on Wed. keeping fingers crossed, if that is the case, ROUND ROCK after work, weather permitting of course. :D

Ware, maybe you can swim out to hole one and put your disc in the basket. Last week I went the back way to the course because the front was blocked off, when I got there hole one had probably a hundred feet of water before you get to the hole. This week I wouldn't be suprised if hole 4 is underwater.

Try the mini this Wed. Last week the course was perfect just after it rained. They play a modified course and never even get close to 1,2,3,4,5,16,17, or 18. They play some in reverse and then turn around and play back the regular holes starting at hole 6. It goes a lot faster than the original 18. Come on out. We need to get the ace pot back up....since I won 250 dollars 2 weeks ago! Larry

Sunday everthing looked good. But more rain yesterday and last night there is no telling. But like Larry said we have 2 courses layed out so if anything is under we play the winter (daylight savings) course. if it clears up today I want to play.

My little girl is fine now.....but the last 2 months have been kinda trying (MRSA infection, Shigella infection, and recurrance of MRSA again). She's had a PICC line in her arm for the last 2 weeks (sorta like an IV but the line goes all the way into the chest) for blood draws till some liver levels get back to where they should be (and they are almost there); during that time I've been playing nurse by doing saline flushes 3x/day. Well me most of the time.....her mother, the rest.

I've got lots of time in the next 10 days or so to play golf so I'm gonna try to get back to where I once belonged. ;-)

He knows he should not have cashed. Wind was tough and he did not play very well, but they played good partner golf and did not both make mistakes at the same time. After the round they thought they had a slim chance to be in the cash, but never would have thought they woulda won...But they did- so props... :p
