Had a small Dragon reunion in Vail last week. Both Paul's were present. Lots of skiing , lots of beer drinking :), lots of rich women flirting :eek:, lots of money spent :mad:, and a whole bunch of fun was had :D. That town is insane. The views are breathtaking. The oxygen is absent and your legs will burn like you've never had happen before. Everyone goes directly to the bars when the lifts shut down. This guy is playing your standard one man band songs and declares that if anyone can make a basket with dollar bills into this pitcher he has on stage he will buy them shots. The whole bar makes about five shots and Paul and I were two of them! The dude gave us 41, yes 41 shots. Needless to say we made a lot of friends. :p

I found a pocket knife in my golf bag after the mini yesterday, did anybody lose one? it is a small lockblade, with about a 3" blade. The crazy thing is, I literally found it IN my golf bag, in with my discs, I have no idea how it got there. I am meeting with RR parks Feb 16 at the park....to finalize plans for an additional 3 holes at the Rock. They are on board with it, they will buy the signs, but we have to buy the baskets���. Tree has donated his basket to the project�..The plan is to have them in before OUTLAWS

very interesting you are asking....I am unsure of the basket Tree has donated...I want to make sure the 3 baskets are a like. It would be nice if they could match the other 18 ...But that design is unavalible.
At worst case...we can raffle of Trees basket .....use that money and any raised money to purchace a matching 3 some.
I would think 3 new baskets would run from $800-$1000.

What a club!

I played Rosedale up and down under on Saturday. The coolest thing was that each hole on the up course had at least four pin positions. FOUR! Many holes on down under had multiple tee boxes. They had a cool set up for the different pins. The sleeves were sticking out of the ground by a couple of feet. The locking system makes it real easy to move the basket around. If it ever comes up for RR let me know I'll send you guys some pictures of the sleeves.

Vince, sorry I don't have access to those bins anymore. I could tell you where to find them but they probably aren't going to be near $10.

the city approved the 3 alt holes. :D
They will GPS the distances for us and they will pay for the tee signs.
We have to come up with the baskets and I already have 2 of the baskets donated(Keith May and Chris Rountree) The baskets are not a problem. But we will have to do the clearing.
The hole between 10 and 11 (texas 10 hole) needs no clearing and as long as we consider that hole temporary and may need to be moved when the soccer field is expanded in that direction.
The next hole (after 15) will not need much clearing, but the planned hole after that will need clearing.
But first we will need to cut a path (center of fairway) So the city can determine what trees can go and which will stay. After things settle down in the ROCK area, I will be planning a work day to accomplish the path. So I will keep everyone posted.

First work day purpose is to carve a path through the rough (by spill way behind dam)
After the Dubs and TWC is over we can start the ball rolling on work days. After the carving is done, another meeting of the city will determine what stays and what goes.
The cabinet needs to make some decision on shirts for members and I would like to see the club take ownership of the Texas Doubles tournament for next year....And keep in mind the ams maybe moving here as well.
