Rob, Joe's Roc'ed last night. The food was good. The beer was cold and the young female co-ed's outnumbered everyone else 10-1. They have a nice supply of hi def flat screens on hand.

I played Boomer Wedns and Thurs night. Wedns was beautiful. Weather was great. Lots of scenery jogging around the lake. Thurs was EXTREMELY windy. No one was there. The wrestling hall of fame was the highlight of the stay. That was so cool seeing my friends on plaques.

and perhaps.....cabinet members (and prospectives) can get together today before or after the round to talk about stuff like organization etc. I think that a little more effort could produce some really positive results. Just an observation.

And another thing....the time to discuss stuff like this is really not best done here on this board....its best done face to face perhaps after the round....and under close to sober conditions. Difficult, I know, lol. :p

Organization and keeping things on track is the key, imho. That kinda thing is shown by the guys running the mini, by guys like V running tournaments, etc. Just extend that over to running the club, and it should be achievable pretty quick.

Played a practice round at the Rock today. Man the wind was nice! Parked three orcs from #1 teebox to #17 basket, drove past the tree line on #6, and overthrew the basket on #7. Three firsts, lol. If only the wind was like this all the time at the Rock! (ie, lefty friendly)

Course is looking great. The water that's been snaking around #7 green is gone. I thought that was making the hole significantly more interesting, but oh well.

Nicely mowed, no putrid sewer pipes, no crowds, no vandalism, no floaters in the water (ahem Bart). Its nice to be at the Rock! :cool:

I went wading in the water by hole two's basket to try and find my CE Valk, but instead found a bunch of other people's discs. The stuff on the bottom of that water was n-a-s-t-y, water boy is tougher than I am. Jimmy I think I found a Crush with your name on it. I will try and make it with the discs to the Wed mini. $15 reward for anyone who finds my yellow Valk near hole two in the water.

If you have never played Old Settler's, you must come down for Outlaws. 1st weekend in September..(I think). It is by far one of the most beautiful courses, nice long holes great for those who can really boom it out there. :cool::cool:

Revenge was mine. Fished 3.5 days. All limits on keeper Crappy. Knife got hot. Bags were filled. Skillet got hot. Belly got full of fish and several cases of CFO's. Also caught but did not keep: Walleye, Flathead Cats, Big and Small mouths, Drums, Bluegills and one big stinking Gar that thankfully broke my line when he got to the boat.

There was a BASS master tourney going on. 40K to the winner. Not to bad. I think they had 250 boats.

Y'all have fun on Sunday without me. Larry, you might want to put a childproof lock on your cooler. I heard that Gene's family changed their name when they came to this country from Stealyourbeerski. :D

Played the Rock last Sunday, and again today (Thursday). Both days I had the suprise of water moccasins along the creek. One at the creek in front of hole #4's tee box and a beautifull two and 1/2 footer swiming off, from the trees, at hole #16.

Thankfully, I did not see'em three weeks ago when I went into the water, (hole 16) after a disc. I think I'll just have to leave any other plastic that finds it's way to the water. Not that I'm afraid of the snakes (lie)... just that they may be afraid of me. :o
