The Professional Disc Golf Association is pleased to announce the following 2013 PDGA Major Events:
2013 European Open
Tournament Director Jussi Meresma will once again host the European Open in beautiful Nokia, Finland. This European Major event is held every other year alternating with the European Championship. The Open, as defined by its name, is open to all qualified international competitors, while the Championship is limited to only players from Europe.
The 2012 World Championships will put the spotlight on established, world-class courses like Hornet’s Nest and Renaissance, and give players the chance to experience newer courses such as Nevin, R.L. Smith and Bradford, which are bristling with challenges.
All 14 courses used are in our home county and within 30 minutes of The Blake, the host hotel located in uptown Charlotte. Most Pro divisions will play three courses twice in preliminary rounds, with most Amateur players playing five different courses.
The players who have been invited to this year’s Pro and Am Worlds have been calculated. To see if you have been invited please visit our World Championships page at www.pdga.com/world-championships.
