SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Catrina Allen's hot 2019 season couldn't be dampened by a weekend of coastal rain, as the Minnesota pro pulled away during Sunday's final round of the Santa Cruz Masters Cup to win her third straight tournament.

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Garrett Gurthie first turned pro in 2004, and has since played in 248 tournaments, including 35 on the PDGA National Tour circuit. Sixteen seasons into his career the Florida pro has yet to notch a victory on that elite stage, with his best finish coming in 2013, when he came in second place at the Discraft Great Lakes Open.

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- As a three-time Santa Cruz Masters Cup champion, Catrina Allen is well versed in the ups and downs of the DeLaveaga Disc Golf Course. So when disc golf’s hottest women’s player started with a double bogey on the second hole Friday morning to kick off this PDGA National Tour event, she didn’t panic.
Instead, she let it roll away like a low putt off the cage.

As disc golf has continued to evolve and welcome a more modern era, the club responsible for the Santa Cruz Masters Cup has continued to deftly straddle that gap, aware not only of the 34-year-old event’s place in the pantheon of quintessential professional tournaments, but also where it wants to go.
Registration for the 2019 Santa Cruz Masters Cup presented by Innova, a PDGA National Tour event taking place May 17-19 in Santa Cruz, California, is now open! Priority registration this week goes to Open players with ratings 1000 or higher, as well as Open Women's competitors with ratings greater than 900.
In addition, the MP40, MP50, and MP60 divisions are now open for the Masters Cup's concurrent A-Tier.
