4.11 Marshals

- Generally, a PDGA Marshal is a Tournament Official (see 1.12).
- A Marshal differs from a Tournament Official in the following ways:
- A Tournament Director cannot declare someone a Marshal.
- At Majors, only the Director of Competition can declare someone a Marshal.
- At Elite Series events, only the series' Tour Director or someone of their choosing can declare someone a Marshal. However, the Director of Competition can override this decision.
- A Marshal can overrule a Tournament Official or Tournament Spotter.
- A Tournament Director cannot declare someone a Marshal.
