Bam Bam, right now with your ratings you can still play Adv Masters, then if your rating goes above 915 you can play regular Advance till 955. Then you can play Pro Masters.

As for me, there is no looking back :D

BTW Scooter, I shot -1 for the day on #13 at the PIO.

bambam

I already know all that, but thanks anyway! <font color="white"> NOT!!! </font> :D:D:D

Besides, my rounds at the PIO will put me over 915 come February.

So basically only the rounds from Dec 1-31 will be put in? That is pretty sad because the rounds from early january don't go in until what May?????

sandalman
Jan 10 2006, 10:37 PM
yes, that has been how it has been done in past years.

btw, did you ever look to see if you have any first run z-buzzz's in the closet? i've got good cash for them!

the_kid
Jan 10 2006, 10:43 PM
I don't have any left but I have one that might be a 1st run from 03' Tx state dubs. I just think a 5 month wait is a little long.

sandalman
Jan 10 2006, 10:51 PM
in 02 they did a "dec 31" then followed it in March for 03. since then (04 and 05) we've done Feb (final of the previous year), Jul, Sep, Dec. i guess in TX we;re spoiled with lots of events in the early months. but a good portion of the country is bundled up on their couches... maybe if Chuck lived in the south..............

the_kid
Jan 10 2006, 10:56 PM

Guess I will have to hit a lunch out there with you guys someday and see what all the hub-bub is about since I rarely do breakfast.

Maybe so, but he's already an "OMB in training". As such, he must abide by the code of the OMBs, which clearly states "an OMB is not permitted to waste weekend hours by staying in bed any longer than necessary", and also goes on to say "we are to set an example for the oft-lazy YGBs by getting to the course at least one hour early for any scheduled event, including but not limited to, informal gatherings"

It's all clearly written.... somewhere. :D:D

190 west to I-35E.
North to the Valley Ridge exit (just past Main St)
It is usually quicker to take Valley Ridge east (right) to Mill St.
North (left) on Mill St. to Lake Park Road.
East (right) on Lake Park Rd.
Immediate left onto Turtle Trail.
Left at the stop sign.
Park soemwhere off the pavement along that road.

You will already be seeing baksets and golfers.

What divs are you referring to, Murphy?

I seem to recall that Joe Sofinowski (an OMB) beat JD Ramirez (a YGB) in Open at the Lake. Mike Kennedy (an OMB) had the best day at -15.

Nate won MA1, yes, but give us more detail to support your wreckless assertion that YGBs dominated. :D:D:D

Oh, and glad to hear you're feeling better...... CHICKEN! :D:cool:

okcacehole
Jan 24 2006, 02:30 PM
Well considering OMB and YGB doesn't refer to PRO you figure it out genius :D

Nate and PT smoked Parker if you wish to compare those...Todd probably got him too :p

bambam
Jan 24 2006, 02:52 PM
It doesn't????

I thought it simply referred to your which side of 40 you are playing on.

Oh, and how can you even mention PT? Dude, look up "bagger" in the dictionary, and PT's face will be there! How can anyone win Open in an event, and then bag down to MA1? I think you're still light in the head, Murphy... better lay back down. :D

steve_parker
Jan 24 2006, 03:54 PM
being smoked by PT and that young buzz throwing cyborg holds no shame for me.... now tad is a different story.... did I catch you assuming again adam.... I am pretty sure todd tied me at best.... :D

He beat Vinnie Miller in a playoff at the TX10 Lewisville event last year.

okcacehole
Jan 24 2006, 04:24 PM
Non-sanctioned, but I agree he should step it up..he has the game most of the time

Nate better hold off on sanctioned events of he will be over the magic 955 and won't be able to play AM Worlds :o

if he accepts cash somewhere along the lines - like at Pro World Doubles

sandalman
Jan 24 2006, 04:31 PM
if he accepted the cash then even if his rating dropped to 850 he couldnt play AM worlds. however if he didnt accept the cash, then his rating could go to 1040 and he could still play Am Worlds.

you would know this is you didnt have me on ignore, you ignoramus :D

bambam
Jan 24 2006, 04:31 PM
Well, I guess I'd better notify Vinnie that he's a nobody, then, because he played in a non-sanctioned event.

Or, the other possibility is that Vinnie is a dam good player, regardless of the sanctioning level of the event, and PT beat a good Open player.

You decide.

okcacehole
Jan 24 2006, 04:33 PM
I said he has the game, but being non-sanctioned we can't force the move-up...

I am under the impression that I am current.... you can get my tourny infor by entering my pdga number into the members search field... anyway... what is a reliable way to check my status....

okcacehole
Jan 25 2006, 01:56 PM

Jan 25 2006, 02:08 PM

I didn't show as current on the pre-reg listing for the PIO, either, but I was/am.

I think they are still working some kinks out in the weekly "current membership" listing they are sending to the TDs.

okcacehole
Jan 25 2006, 02:28 PM
I guess so...

Parkers rating show the new update date of yesterday and mine still shows December...another guys shows September

bambam
Jan 25 2006, 02:31 PM

okcacehole
Jan 25 2006, 02:44 PM
????

just want to figure out why my ratings update is still from December and others from yesterday

sandalman
Jan 25 2006, 02:55 PM
if nothing about your rating changed, then you dont get a new date stamp.

for example, mine changed in the january rating because they went back and removed the rounds from waterloo.

your did not change because no rounds were added or deleted.

therefore my most current rating is january 2006, while yours is december 2005.

sounds wierd, and actually is! it makes thing difficult when trying to write queries to pull current ratings, cuz you dont have any idea what the date stamp of any given player's rating is. (without some cumbersome code)

garywatts
Jan 25 2006, 03:52 PM

Hey Andy I will let you know Thursday, but more than likely I will be going.

sandalman
Jan 25 2006, 06:06 PM
I did have new rounds added Pat - the North Texas Series Opener which would increase my overall rating

the January update was an unplanned update to correct mistakes in the December update. in this case the errors events being included that should not have been (certain Xtier events) and also events that were accidently not included that should have been.

the North Texas Series Opener should NOT have been included in the December update, since it occurred after the cutoff date for the December ratings update.

the January update was a minor maintenance update, and only included a handful of events (either adding or deleting)

The scheduled February update will include the N.TX Opener, as well as any other 2005 events that should be included.

sandalman
Jan 25 2006, 06:07 PM
D*mn Parker - you have a 1000 rated round in your rating - very nice

i had a 1012 round from waterloo that was included in December but was removed in January :(

sandalman
Jan 25 2006, 06:08 PM
Mine was updated yesterday and includes the north texas seres opener. You must have got skipped somehow, weird.

your NTX Opener shows in your event log, but it is NOT included in your ratings. likewise, the NTX Opener is in both my and Adam's event log and is not included in our rating.
