Going beyond a women’s celebration!
PDGA EUROPE WOMEN’S EVENT
The PDGA Europe Women's Event returns in 2025 to further demonstrate the PDGA Europe's commitment to developing women's disc golf by providing a platform to women for inclusion and celebration.
PDGA Europe Women's Events are hosted every two years – on the years which the PDGA Global Women's Events are not held. The results of all the events are combined through a virtual classification of all the events entered under the PDGA Europe Women´s Event umbrella.
For the second edition, we want to go one step further than the successful 2023 event (227 women players in 16 events) by extending the model to the WHOLE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2025. To further celebrate PDGA Europe Women’s Month, we will host the brand new PDGA EUROPE WOMEN'S FESTIVAL in Bilbao (Spain), on the weekend of October 3, 4 and 5. This will be a fantastic event full of Disc Golf and other activities!
TOURNAMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be PDGA sanctioned events in a PDGA Europe affiliated country.
- Must have at least one female-protected division.
- Must be held on one of the weekends in September 2025 (6-7, 13-14, 20-21 or 27-28), and may be single or multi-day.
- The name of the tournament must be followed exactly by “- PDGA Europe Women's Event”.
- Offer at least 2 PDGA rated rounds, i.e. with 13 holes or more each.
- All existing women's divisions must be offered and all those with at least one registered player must be maintained.
- Tournaments may, but do not have to be Women Only. In the case of Women Only events, we recommend the opening of the MPO and MA1 for male companions.
- Scores must be recorded via PDGA Live.
OVERALL RANKING:
- The player ranking will be the average rating of the first two rounds played (first round only for juniors 12 and under) in each event.
- In the case of playing in more than one event, only the best event will be counted towards the overall ranking.
PDGA EUROPE SUPPORT FOR REGISTERED EVENTS:
- Reimbursement of the event sanctioning fee for at least the first 10 events entered.
- Code for a free PDGA Certified Rules Official Exam for at least the first 10 events entered.
- PDGA Europe banner for at least the first 20 events entered.
- All Tournament Directors and Assistant Tournament Directors of any of the PDGA Europe Women's Events will have free registration for the PDGA EUROPE WOMEN'S FESTIVAL to be held on October 3, 4 and 5 in Bilbao (Spain).
