Redwood Coast Rec Center

Fun course. This is a new course, built in the last 2-3 years. First nine are fairly heavily wooded and technical shots; the back nine have some straight clear drives, including an over-the-water 12, and a few baskets shrouded in redwood "cages" (5-6 trees surrounding basket). Distances on the whole are shorter than most courses, mostly due to technical level. Have a variety of discs in the bag for best scoring. Also, unsure about pad location for 11, which was a too-easy birdie. I like birdies but this one was only ~90' from pad, basket raised on pole out of stump. Intentional? I'm no beginner, but also no pro. My first round was -3. Confidence builder. Watch your footing on the early holes; there is a lot of downed debris and uneven ground, but that gets cleared after the first few holes.
