A go-to course for practice and neighborhood friendliness. Recently added some depth and touch with an alternate setup. Tons of park amenities throughout. The heavier ruff is there because it is naturally preserved.

Ok, a few things to note here. First off, I thought this was a very enjoyable course. I would not call it too challenging, but for a novice like myself, it was fun to play. Mostly open, with a few wooded holes, varying lengths. Now, having said that, the signage is a disaster. Hopefully this will be improved by Spring. Looks like they recently added a few new hole locations, so its not like they are just letting this course go to hell. Heres a thing or two to remember (for now anyway). Hole 4 is behind the playground which is beyond hole 3s basket. It runs down the left side of the amphitheater area. The holes nearest to the parking lot run 1 thru 11. You need to go back up the drive from the parking lot a bit to get to hole 12. The sign, as a few others are marked wrong. So if you just start as #12 (not 10 as marked at the tee) you’ll be fine. After 13, continue beyond 13s basket on a path. It will take you to hole 14s tee. If you come back a little from 13s basket, there is a tee, but it is not being used anymore. Make sure to continue up the path. You’ll be able to see the new holes on the left (due to the new mulch, which kinda stands out right now). Enjoy, we did!

This is a really nice little open course with enough trees to make it interesting. Plays rather quick. There are some definite pinch points where holes are close together and hole 16 could be awkward to play if there is a little league soccer game going on.

If you stop to play idle wild don't miss this gem it's a great course a little rough but we played 9 courses this and mount airy wee my favorite. It's a fast course to play with some really fun holes not the best unkept but fun just the same.
