Missy Gannon is in a good spot, mentally and on the course. Lisa Fajkus turned in another solid round and is two strokes back. Kristin Tattar didn’t have the best finish but is only three strokes back. Paige Pierce had the hottest round and will join the lead card.
In MPO, Anthony Barela and Gannon Buhr survived Northwood Black and maintain their spots on the top of the leaderboard. They’re joined by Ricky Wysocki as the third co-leader. Paul McBeth had the hottest round and will join the lead card.
The race, as has usually been the case in the 2022 season, is tight.
Returning to Elite Series action for the first time since May (which was a win), Tattar battled through a lingering injury for a 5-under round at Northwood Black to make her Ledgestone debut and lead by one stroke over Lisa Fajkus and Missy Gannon.
After jumping into competition, finding success, and seizing the opportunity, Kiefer hit the road with a strong support system and hasn’t looked back.
“I left in February, and I haven’t been back since,” he said. “I’ve been on tour full-time, and I’ve loved every second of it.”
He no doubt enjoyed Thursday at Lake Eureka to open the 2022 DGPT – Ledgestone Open. Kiefer turned in one of just two bogey-free rounds and finds himself in solo third heading into round two.
For the 12th time, Peoria, Eureka and the surrounding area serve as host to the Ledgestone Open, which includes 200 players on the Elite Series and 2,021 on the A-Tier side this year.

It ended with a playoff, but the battle was the story on Sunday on the hills of the Toboggan.
After a tight race — 11 players entered Championship Sunday within five strokes of the lead — throughout the 40th Discraft Great Lakes Open, the 10th stop of the Disc Golf Pro Tour, Calvin Heimburg and Corey Ellis turned it into a two-player battle in the end.

The hills of Kensington Metropark in Milford, Michigan will be buzzing on Sunday.
On tap at the Toboggan is what promises to be a thrilling finale to the 40th Discraft Great Lakes Open, the 10th stop of the Disc Golf Pro Tour and PDGA Elite Series.
