Masters Cup - Day 1

Nate Doss and Val Jenkins are on top of the world after day one at the Steady Ed Memorial Masters Cup in Santa Cruz, California.


One needs only to stand on the tee of hole 28 of the DeLaVeaga Disc Golf Course to understand why this course is a favorite of nearly every touring player who has ever been here. Named “Top of the World” for its spectacular view of Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay, the hole is truly one of the signature holes in the sport and a must play for any disc golfer.

 

Steady Ed Memorial Masters Cup Preview

The PDGA National Tour makes its annual stop at the world famous DeLaveaga Disc Golf Course on May 15-17, but this year the buzz surrounding the "Steady Ed" Memorial Masters Cup is about more than the legendary course near the Pacific Ocean. The field features extremely strong competition in all divisions. Consider the following:

* 28 players registered for the event have player ratings of 1000 or higher, and 12 more are rated 990 or higher

* Nine current or past world champions will be competing, with at least one in each division

Green Country Open Preview

For the second time in this early disc golf season, the touring disc golf pros find themselves with a first-time National Tour host, as the Tulsa Disc Sports Association welcomes the sports’ best players to the 2009 Green Country Open at the Taylor Lodge in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, about an hour north of Tulsa. 

Battle Jenkins: Avery vs Val
