“It’s All About the Kids”

Posted on Jan 14th 2013

I came to Africa around the beginning of October for a 4 month contract with a local modeling agency. I decided that while abroad, I wanted to share Disc Golf with the locals.

My goal was to give atleast 1 clinic at a local school and inspire them enough that they continue to play and teach the sport long after my departure. I decided to document this adventure with a series of video blogs called “Disc Golf in Africa”

Memorial Championship Registration Opens 12/12/12

Posted on Dec 6th 2012

The biggest tournament in the West comes back to AZ in 2013! The Memorial Championship presented by Discraft is returning for its 25th year and it's going to be bigger and better than ever. We lost someone very near and dear to us this fall so the 2013 Memorial Championship will be in memory of an especially amazing person, Sue Ginnelly. She was such a huge part of making this event what it is today, we look forward to keeping her legacy going by always improving and growing this tournament and the sport we all love!

Disc Golf Champs team up with Pocket Disc

Posted on Nov 29th 2012

Nikko Locastro and Will Schusterick have joined forces to promote the Pocket Disc to the Disc Golf world. Weighing in at 2.2 ounces and measuring eight inches across the Pocket Disc is capable of flying up to fifty yards. Pocket Discs are more portable than a rigid flying disc as they can be stuffed in your pocket or backpack where they wait ready for impromptu disc games of all sorts both indoors or out.  “They are great for killing time around the teepad when play on the course in front of you is slow,” says Schusterick.

Disc Golfers Giving Back - Pam B Childs Memorial

Posted on Nov 21st 2012

The 2012 Pam B. Childs Memorial took place on the beautiful International Disc Golf Center courses and was a very successful event again this year. The tournament, now in its fifth year, had a record number of players (68) and the highest ever contribution of over $4600 to the Ronald McDonald Charities of Augusta.  This blew away the already inflated goal of $3600, which was a step above last year's total contribution.
