I am going to try and make Live Oak about 4 today.

I saw at U.C. Sunday where someone had marked the playground equipment with the initials F.or U. C.hildren & K.ids, however Dave who is more current on this modern symbolism than I am corrected me and told me it stood for F.or U. C. K.ids. It is truly a shame though that some have such a disrespect for things that are put there for peoples enjoyment.

I felt like the only am in the world of pros. But I cant believe I hit an ace, Nolan Grider hit one on Sunday so I split it. Yes, today I reached the 61 mark in my life and I just hope I can make it to Legends. Thanks for all the Happy's. I am thankful each time I am able to go out and play, even if it is painful sometimes. It is great to be able to play a game that you enjoy and with people that you enjoy being with.
Besides, after having to put up with Dave all day at work, anything would be enjoyable. :DSee you all on the course. Yoda the Olda. :)

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes. Got to celebrate yesterday with a round of disc golf with some great friends (Dave, Jimbob, Mark and Phil). We played the card game or I should say we played about half the holes with it. We would have had to bring out the glow disc if we had stayed with it. We finished the second half normal. I think Phil got hit with about five cards one time before he even got to throw a disc. It does take up some time. Thanks again also to Jimbob for the disc. It will go on the shelf with the other special ones I have.
A special thanks to my wife for allowing me to play this game and supporting me when I want to play. See you all on the course.

What is the reason there is not a bigger turn out? I have only gone to one, so I am not pointing fingers. It seems to be the same handful of people everytime. Is there something different Brian should be doing to make you guys come out? I know when other clubs have work days dozens of people show up. Is it the weather? The time and day? What is it? I know there are other things that come up, but even so there are enough of us to be able to help out and get these holes in the ground.I have asked the LOLO's several times myself. Have we become spoiled by Live Oak? I dont think it is right that we expect Brian to do all of this by himslef, run the minis, keep stats, AND clear holes?

Lets talk this out and come to a resolution because I know I would be ****** if no one helped me when I needed it. Lets unite and get these holes in the ground.

Okay ladies, its time for our first Traveling LOLO Day. This Saturday March 5 we will be going to Round Rock, Texas to play the course that will be used in the Texas Womens Championships. The course is called Brushy Creek in the Cat Hollow sub division in Round Rock.

We are meeting at Laura Karshis' house between 8:00-8:30. We are leaving NO LATER than 9:00. Laura said there may be talk of some breakfast and coffee :). If you live further north of Live Oak, email me and let me know and we can meet you in a better place along the way. Please let me know this week if you are going and if you and your vehicle can be used in the carpooling.

We will be getting to Cat Hollow at about 10:30 and will play one round, after the first round we will go have lunch together somewhere and then go back to Cat Hollow for the second round. This is a great opportunity to become familiar with the course before we all play the TWC April 2 and 3.

Even if you are not playing we will for sure have fun and the weather is supposed to be awesome. This will be just like all the other Ladies Days, casual and fun. So pack the ice chests, bring your bags and good attitudes, this will be a BLAST!!!!

Good weekend of disc golf for me this weekend, But not for Yoda he had to carry me and now his back is gone :o:( :D

Thanks Cat Hollow for a great Saturday. TEN women came together to play. 5 LOLO's and 5 LOCO's . The course is awesome and has a great mixture of shots. Nothing too hard, nothing too easy. Laura Karshis, Jenn Morales, Steph McWhirter, Jaimee Sisson, Laura Coffey, KT Stockham (sp?), Keela Mattson, Laura Hovey, Tara (local) and myself all enjoyed two rain free rounds. The first round was singles and then we played all girl dubs. For some this was there first doubles experience. KT sweeps the day and wins both the singles and doubles with her partner Laura Karshis. Nice shooting KT. The LOLO's and Laura Coffey donated CTP prizes. I won the Sidewinder and I think Jenn won the breast cancer awareness towel.

I dont have the scores on me but I know KT finished even I think, maybe even under. I shot a 56. Laura K 76.

Dubs KT and Laura shot a 55, I think. I think me and Tara shot a 59 or maybe higher.

Very nice! I think the compitition will be interesting to watch. What did you girls think of that 400 footer over the hill on 4 where you could not see the pin? What about 5 where it is a long 600 foot curve. How did the course look as far as cleanliness and sitting? I know we fall short of seats but we are getting there.

Seats were fine, loved the over the hill shot and the long anyhyzer curve. The course was great. Yall are doing a great job.

Well occasionally we like to do good. Glad to hear the turnout was at 10. I bet Kt's weekend was made!! That course is great for lefty's and really great for sidearms! Glad you all liked the course,,,it is my favorite in Austin and I play it the most. :D

G'day Guys and Gals. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I have finally moved everything from San Marcos to Dripping Springs which makes it hard for me to get to Live Oak or UC to play. I am sure during Summer I will be there a little.

If any of you are playing a day out this weekend stop by Twin Parks and I can show you around. We are doing a one round mini starting at 2:30pm Saturday. Lots of new stuff going on out here so come out and see.

If you are into Mountain Biking come out here on March 26 or 27. Over 100 of the best riders around will be here racing and doing demo's for the spectators (no spectator fee either :D).

Live Oakers, it's pretty rare when you get to see two multiple time world champions play, and even more rare to see them play doubles. If you get a chance to come up to Wimberly Saturday or Sunday, you will be treated to some exceptional disc golf by Ken Climo and Brad Hammock. I have had the opportunity to follow them around a time or two, and it's pretty amazing. I'm sure you can learn a thing or two, as I always do. Circle "R" will charge $10 for a spectator fee, but for that 10 spot, you can get a disc or t-shirt. I hope you can make it to see two hot players play a World Championship course!!

I have to go to Norfolk, Virginia for work on April 4-6, so the league starting date will be Thursday, April 7 at Live Oak. We will play Pro/Am random draw doubles.

Tuesday's Format? Give me your thoughts!

When we play on Tuesdays, initially I wanted to do some sort of singles league with an all cash payout. Two divisions, pay top 1/3 in Open, top 1/2 in AM.

But lately I have been thinking about turning Tuesdays into a skins league like RR runs. Here is how it would work...

Pay $3 entry, $2 Ace Pot, $1 Party fund. We will have one division and random draw card assignments each week. You will keep track of the skins won on the card. The total number of the skins you win will be totaled up each week and added to your running total. At the end of the league, we will have a final skins playoff round. Depending on the number of skins you have won during the course of the league, you will play on a card for a certain $$ amount per skin (similar to the recent Ice Bowl). You must have won at least 7 skins during the league to qualify for the final, and you must play in at least 7 events to qualify for the final. There will be no payout on Tuesdays unless you want to enter into a side bet. For those players who want to do so, they can pay an additional $4, and the money received will be paid out that evening to the top 1/3 scores.

So, let me know... singles in two divisions, or skins in one division.
