Thanks for all the birthday wishes. You know those are always better than presents. Had alot of fun getting stompped both on the course aswell as the Packers letting us all down. I will have a talk with Brett and see if I can get him a little more focused. That's Mr Favre to you Jody. Thanks again.

Merry Christmas! Yes I am still around! And Yes Nelle, Let's not forget the True meaning of Christmas !
I was on the Circular production web site and noticed the pick from last year when Live Oak won Texas Teams! Here's the link and pick. Pretty Cool.
P.s. Is there really a mini today a 2pm? http://www.circularproductions.com/sansaba/images/ttcliveoak.jpg Circular productions! (http://www.circularproductions.com/sansaba/texasteamchampionships.htm)
Look at those studs up there. Yes ,RT, I did hear that there was a mini today @ 2pm. Ince was running it. Matt, Shawn and I played this morning @ 8am. Talk about INSANE! I highly recommend playing the back if anyone is playing today. It's extremely windy, but the trees help reduce the wind chill significantly. Don't forget your chapstick!!!!

We are getting closer to our goal of atleast 10 women to the ladies day. Help spread the word, if you know of any woman who has been interested or you would like to get interested in disc golf tell her to come out. We are harmless :D. Ladies Day Saturday @ 12:30. Play a full round of 18 and have a chance to win a 2005 PDGA Membership and a Texas 10 Ladies Membership Tag. Even if you can't come out right at 12:30 you can join in at anytime. The CTP and other prizes will be given out at the end of the Ladies Day. Lets get 2005 started off right.

2005 EDGE Live Oak Ice Bowl
Jay Reading and Chris Himing are proud to present the 2005 Ice Bowl in Live Oak, TX and will benefit the Educational Disc Golf Experience on Saturday, January 29th.
The Educational Disc Golf Experience (EDGE) is a non-profit(501c3) developed by educators and World Champion disc golfers to bring the lifetime activity of disc golf to school or organization wellness programs. EDGE combines interdisciplinary 3rd-12th grade lessons, activities and affordable equipment for a complete experience that will stay with students for a lifetime of healthy activity. For more information visit www.edgediscgolf.org. (http://www.edgediscgolf.org.) All proceeds from this event will benefit the Live Oak area schools in developing disc golf programs and purchasing baskets.
This years event format will be like nothing you have seen before. The payout has been structured so that everyone will have the opportunity to play for at least some cash or merchandise.
The first 18 holes you play will determine your ranking for the Skins Money Round. Round 2 of 18 holes is skins format within every group. The better you finish your 1st round the more money or merchandise will be allocated to your group of 3 or 4 players. Within that group you will split the money into 18 skins and playoff. Whether you are in the top group or the last group you will be playing for something. The only difference is the higher up the order you are the more the skins are worth.
Event Details:
Where: Live Oak City Park
When: Saturday, January 29th
Time: Late entries until 8:30am
Players Meeting: 9am

Ice Bowl merchandise including discs and clothing will only be available online via www.titledisc.com (http://www.titledisc.com)
We expect a lunch vendor be available to enjoy a hot meal in the Pool House or out by the pool. News on the lunch vendor soon.
There will be no trophies. We are donating all possible money to the charity and we want to make this a fun event.
A raffle will be held with 100% of proceeds benefiting EDGE. If you have any items to donate please let us know.

It's funny, I was wasting some government tax dollars reading other threads for the past hour or so. I noticed one thing that we are thankfully missing on our thread. DRAMA. There is alot of fighting going on, and some ona personal level. I thought some of our posts get out of hand. Not even close to some of the pure trash that gets posted out there. Just like our parks, we keep it cleaner than a whole host of others. I'm proud to post on the Live Oak thread.
OK my two cents are in. Sorry to get on the soapbox on a Friday afternoon. Someone knock me off.

Ladies Day was a blast. The LOLO's started the new year off right!!! We didnt back down from Chris' double dog dare and we had 11 1/2 women playing disc golf together.
Laura Karshis, Jenn Morales, Julie Morales, Dora Guzman, Jenny Cashdollar, Micheala Steel, Steph McWhirter, Lisa Lewis, all the way from Austin Natalie aka MInicrusher, first but not last timer Toni Schmidt and myself. We also had a special player join us for a couple holes, 6 year old Alexandra Black from Austin.
We all had a great time and celebrated throughout the round :D. It was wonderful to see that many women playing casually together.
The winner of the 2005 PDGA Membership donated by the Ladies of Live Oak is LISA LEWIS !!! Congrats Lisa!!!!!!
The winner of the 2005 Texas 10 Ladies Membership Tag donated by Chris Himing is JENNIFER MORALES !!!!
The winner of the CTP prize was Julie Morales !! Julie received a brand new Sidewinder donated by Rich McWhirter and a breast cancer awareness golf towel donated by Chris Himing.
11 women all came together to play disc golf. It was a record number for the LOLO's and a record amount of fun. Thanks again ladies, you should be proud of yourselves.
It may have taken us over four hours to play 17 holes but it was four hours of FUN!!!! :D
