I've lived here in GF for 5 years. This course was re-done a couple years ago, with baskets, pads, and some signs that locals have written in distances on. Some route finding needed for newbies. The other reviewers didn't mention what gives this course some character is its hills. An enjoyable local course but the big evergreen trees are like roach hotels(disks go in....)

#1 goes sharply up hill to a hidden basket 100' beyond the top of the hill.
#2 is straight across a field to a basket just over the edge on the far side.
#3 is a short downhill dog leg left, easy to overthrow and end up on the street 50' below (OB).
#4 another blind uphill, tight teeshot between trees then left at the top of the hill.
#5 Straight away but further than it looks if your tee shot is short the hill comes into play try to get all the way across on the first shot.
#6 Long(550') straight & slightly downhill, good birdie opportunity.
#7 Blind, uphill, attack straight up the hill, if the wind is blowing (if?) keep your shot low.
#8 long(600') blind shot, traverses hillside.
#9 nice hole slightly uphill, but straight into prevailing wind.
#10 long(500+) with gradual uphill. Try to stay on the ramp leading to the pin, the pin is blocked by trees from below.

Fairly simple course, if you take away the wind.

This course is set on a hilltop on the Northwest side of town, close to the Great Falls Visitors Center and welcoming giant U S Flag, this course looks to be simple until the afternoon winds take your seemingly straight drive 300 yards to the left.

Some challenging holes because of hole placement on 1, 3, & 10. All other holes the basket is blowing in the breezes out in open space. Signage is still lacking after 11 years,

If you're desperate for a round then this 10 hole course is yours, otherwise, enjoy your time in Northern Montana doing something else.

This is a fairly challenging course, as soon as you factor in the wind! There are a few blind holes, and the signs could be better. The course now has baskets and new rubber tee pads! It has also been changed a wee bit due to the addition of the rivers edge trail. The holes are now longer Par fours for amatures. Should be distances on all signs in the near future.
