Description

A really basic temporary course in a rarely used public park in a gorgeous valley in the northern mountains of Tehran. Portable tone-pole baskets are hung from trees. The baskets are non-standard, but have the same effective catch area of PDGA approved championship baskets (50 cm high and 52 cm wide). Tricky putting when it is windy. There are a total of 5 baskets, but each is approachable from a few tees, and playable both ways, giving a 12 hole layout. The valley is very steep with dense vegetation covering about a third of it, making this a very technical course. Baskets are usually approachable only from specific directions. Most holes are under 90 meters (300') in length, but elevation makes some uphill drives seem longer. For more highly rated players, the course has one par 5 (161 m, uphill), one par 4 (66 m, heavily wooded and uphill). Players must bring their own discs. Contact Bahram for more information or if you want to play.

Directions

The course is in a valley that is a part of the Tehran Sledge Park. The main stairs lead to the valley (to the left at the end of the stairs). Parking locations are by the entrances on both sides of the Sledge Park (about 5-10 minutes walk).
