Jackson Park is a course I enjoy because of the fact that the baskets are changed in positions often. It's a fun course to work on your mid-range and controlled putter shots. There are some water hazards that can eat your disc quickly if you underestimate the wind and your disc selection. The tee pads are great and the location of the park is cool. This course is not too long and not too short. I found myself playing 3 rounds and I still felt good. I like this course.

So I really like this course. It is fun to play and there are a dizzying number of basket and tee box combinations. Many holes have three basket locations and several holes have multiple tee boxes. I like the hole variety. The course design follows a small creek and along the larger creek so water comes into play on 6 holes There is some risk reward opportunities but they do not apply to all of the holes and I really lke to see as much of this as possible. I really like to see the requirement to make a choice from the tee designed into courses and there is not a lot of that here.
I hear that this was an old dog park and occasionally there are some other users but it is easy to wait them out. This is one large area of a massive park complex so generally only disc golfers are found here. For being such a nice course in a nice park it is surprisingly uncrowned.
Although I would not say that this is a course not to be missed, it is really nice. It is flat and in a typical park but the designer did a good job of making it unique with what is there. For people that are in the area I would recommend checking this course out. It is definitely worth the effort. Of course any time spent playing is worth the effort.
