a nice beginner course for what it is, it plays around and adjacent to several sports fields at a church/school so timing can be an issue but a nice play for a "take it easy" round of golf

I'd like to start off by saying I like the initiative that the church used to create a course while integrating it into other facilities

However, being that this is a beginners course, it really bothers me that the designer ignored a lot of unused area to build this links style design.

First off, any beginners will have a hard time keeping the discs from sailing to the left and with most baskets nestled to the right of a thick, wooded area. It gets very difficult (frustrating) to help find newbies discs as they constantly sail into the green abyss.

My hope is that the powers that be will take the new players into consideration and alter the baskets away from the trees and give the players more than one way to throw toward the pins

I should qualify my rating up front by saying that I'm judging this course on the fact that it's a beginner's course. For a course that's wide open like this, with distances of 175-250 feet for each hole, it's alright. If you're an experienced player looking for a challenge, this course isn't it. However, if you are new to the game, or just want somewhere to play a few holes and just wanna have a nice relaxing round, this is it.

All the tees are grass, except for a couple that are dirt, with a rubber strip showing the edge of the tee. Each hole is marked with hole number and distance (though some distances seemed off to me), but there is no map showing which basket to throw at. Usually isn't a problem since all the baskets are visible from the tee, but sometimes you'll get a couple baskets close to each other, or might accidently go right instead of straight or left (like I did on the very first tee).

A couple of holes have the basket slightly hidden behind a few trees, but for the most part it's a very straightforward, short course.

Like I said, it's for beginners or people just wanting to get some short work in. It's also very clean and seems well maintained. No trash or litter on the course that I could see. Plenty of parking in the parking lot, and in a nice neighborhood.
