Description

Enter the Gauntlet and challenge your disc golf skills while surrounded by evergreens, meadows, and mountainsides. This par 65 course has 7333 feet of basket length with a total course walking distance of 2 miles. Holes range from a 200-foot tee shot onto a 40-foot diameter circular green, to a 760-foot sweeping left fairway that drops 84 feet through timber to an MVP Black Hole Portal basket by the creek.

The course crosses Gilman Creek, ventures through open meadows, climbs hillsides to perched baskets, and offers the thrill of launching a disc up the valley to a basket 90 feet below. Play the first nine to warm up and slowly build your confidence and then finish with the back nine to push your limits and learn how the Gauntlet deserves its name.

Directions

From Missoula head west on Mullan Rd to Kona Ranch Rd. Follow Kona until it merges with Big Flat Rd, which then merges into Deep Creek Rd in 6 miles. Follow Deep Creek 3.5 miles to the end of the county road. Turn right at the Gilman Gauntlet sign and enter private ranch property. The Gauntlet is ahead a half mile along Gilman Creek Rd.
