2025 PDGA Presidents Cup - Format & Rules
Teams & Player Numbers
Team captains must designate numbers for their team’s players: 1-6 for men and 1-2 for women. Numbering must be provided to the Presidents Cup tournament director at tournament central one hour before the tournament.
Groups
The Presidents Cup will be played in four groups of four players — three men’s groups and one women’s group. Men’s groups are paired as follows:
- Group 1: Players 1 and 2
- Group 2: Players 3 and 4
- Group 3: Players 5 and 6
Tournament Layout
The 2025 Presidents Cup will be contested on Holes 1, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17 and 18 at Swenson Park DGC.
Tournament Phases
The Presidents Cup consists of two separate phases:
- Phase 1: Individual best shot
- There are 7 points awarded to each group, 28 in total:
- Lowest Score: 4 points
- Second Lowest Score: 2 points
- Third Lowest Score: 1 point
- Fourth Lowest Score: 0 points
- Ties split the points for the positions
- There are 7 points awarded to each group, 28 in total:
- Phase 2: Match play between numbered players
- Winner of match: 3 points
- Tie in a match: 1.5 points each
- In case of tie between teams after all holes played: One player sudden death play-off on Hole 18 on repeat. Team captains will nominate the sudden death players
