Speaker Notes

In celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day on February 1, 2017,  the PDGA Women’s Committee hosted the first ever PDGA Women’s Symposium. Our goal of this symposium was to embrace the mission statement of the PDGA Women’s Committee to “Attract, Encourage, and Retain Female Participation in Organized Disc Golf Events.” With the help of our four experienced presenters, we hoped to inspire others to teach youth clinics, run a women’s league, host a women’s tournament, and utilize the history of women in sports to influence change within disc golf.
