Disc golf is the perfect solution for anyone that wants to teach, share and enjoy a lifetime sport.

It's a healthy, inexpensive, recreational activity that provides upper and lower body conditioning, aerobic exercise and mental stimulation. Concentration skills expand by mastering shots and negotiating obstacles. Players of limited fitness levels can start slowly and gradually increase their level of play.

We’d like to help you get started and your family get out to the course with an introduction to disc golf: what is it, why should you teach or play disc golf, what you will need to start, how to play, and where to find a course near you!

For over a decade, the great minds behind the Educational Disc Golf Experience (EDGE) have been working tirelessly to help grow the sport of disc golf, offering their unique school-based curriculum to effectively teach the basic skills of the sport to youth of all ages. This holiday season, thanks to a handful of amazing sponsors, you can contribute to this great cause all while picking up some awesome gifts for your disc golf buddies. Better yet, just get something for yourself!

The EDGE program continues to lead the way in introducing disc golf to the next generation. Started in 2001, EDGE (Educational Disc Golf Experience) is a non-profit that introduces disc golf to students by providing disc golf curriculum and equipment packages to schools.

I don’t think that many people wake up one day and think to themselves: “I’m going to build a disc golf course in the jungles of Honduras!”

This project was a great example of perfection arising from chaos. As cliché as this sounds, I believe that since birth everything had fallen into place for me to take on this incredible venture.

The Educational Disc Golf Experience would like to extend the invitation for disc golf Tournament Directors around the globe to partner any and/or all of your tournaments or series with the EDGE Tournament Charity Program for the 2014 season.
