Tight at the Top

Hailey Huber
Things tightened up in a big way on Thursday at the 2025 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships presented by Discraft in Columbia, Missouri.
With two rounds to go, we have a three-way tie for the lead in FA1 — with two players within two strokes and two more within four — and a one-stroke lead in MA1 with five players within four strokes.

Therese Cuevas kept her spot on top of the leaderboard in FA1, but now has two players sharing the title of leader with her. Peyton Kohut strung together four birdies down the stretch and Haley Huber did her work in the middle section of Harmony Bends as both moved to the 17-under mark with Cuevas, who struggled on the finishing holes.

Peyton Kohut
Joining them is Kayla Hess, who jumped three spots to the lead card with the 7-under, 946-rated hot round of the day. After an opening bogey on Hole 1, the hardest of the day, Hess dissected Harmony Bends the rest of the way on 17 bogey-free holes.

Kayla Hess
Tied with Hess at 15-under and leading the chase card is Kylie Kohut. They're two strokes ahead of Yolanda Lolohea-Pauley and MJ Gager.
Now action shifts back to a repeat course for Moving Day in FA1 at Albert Oakland Park. Cuevas and Kohut shared the hot round of 11-under on Tuesday, followed by Brook Johnson (T8) and Lolohea-Pauley at 10-under. Huber shot an 8-under and Hess 4-under to open the tournament at Albert Oakland.

Hayden Carroll
Things are nearly as tight in MA1.
Hayden Carroll grabbed the solo lead — the first time this week that one name is alone at the top of the leaderboard — but it's just a single stroke over Round 2 co-leader RJ Chirkis.
Carroll started slow, but rallied for a bogey-free 8-under round, one ahead of Chirkis to move to 28 and 27-under, respectively.

James Collier
James Collier started and finished strong on Thursday at Joseph C. Miller DGC in Jefferson City. Collier, the 2025 USADGC champion, birdied six-straight on the front nine and started the back nine 7-for-7 for a 13-under, 1054-rated day to jump five spots into solo third place and two strokes out the lead.

Noah Feil
Noah Feil hit double digits with a 10-under day to rise three spots to the lead card and to within four strokes of the lead. Micah Thompkins and Vaughn Bontrager join Feil at 24-under on the chase card.
MA1 stays in Jefferson City for Moving Day at The Dam Course. Carroll had the hot round of 11-under in Round 2 at The Dam. Chirkis shot 10-under and Collier and Fiel turned in 4-under rounds.
