In the MP40 division, Ken Nelson of Whistler, British Columbia, Canada leads the way with a four-under opening round, marred only by a first-hole bogey. Marko Narits from Laagri / Harjumaa, Estonia had a three-meter putt to tie for a share of the lead but could not convert and finds himself tied for second with the United Kingdom’s Iain McDougall.

In the FP40 division, Natalie Holloköi of Winterthur, Switzerland and Melanie Meuter of Rapperswil, Switzerland are separated by a single throw.

Hall of Famer Derek Robins of Kenilworth, United Kingdom leads MP60, cleaning up early bogies by carding four birdies on the final 10 holes of round one.
