2025 European Disc Golf Festival — Final Recap

The show that is the European Disc Golf Festival went out with a bang.
Estonia's first PDGA Major, held on the historic and cultural site of the Song Festival Grounds in Tallinn, delivered electric finishes in both the MPO and FPO divisions. And historic ones too.
Calvin Heimburg and Silva Saarinen both became first-time Major winners in battles that came down to the very end — Heimburg finally adding a Major title to his name and Saarinen continuing her meteoric rise in her young career.
Heimburg and Gannon Buhr emerged down the stretch from a logjam of players in the mix on Championship Sunday and sealed it with a title-sealing putt from 42 feet, setting off a celebration and roar from the fan favorite. Heimburg had the most wins on the Elite Series without a Major title to his name.
His 13-under finale have him a 1080 rating average for the event after entering the day one stroke behind Buhr and Isaac Robinson, who rounded out the podium in solo third place.
Earlier in the day, Saarinen applied the pressure on Kristin Lätt, who entered Championship Sunday with a three-stroke lead. Saarinen surged down the stretch, shooting a 6-under back nine while Lätt struggled, particularly on the green with three putts on 11 and 17, which sealed the title for the young Finn to become a first-time Major winner.
Lätt finished second, two strokes back, and Ella Hansen rounded out the podium in solo third place.
